Winetasting tour in Alpeta winery - Roshnik village by 1001 Albanian Adventures
Overview
We will travel for around 25 minutes to enjoy the greenness and the pleasure that the regularity of vineyards transmits. We will have a walk through the vineyards and the fields, and then visit the mosque of the village, which is relatively new and is characterized by an interesting architecture.
A famous family of the village is Fiska, a family who now runs an agritourism and produces its own wine and raki (traditional Albanian alcoholic drink). We will have a break in the premises of the winery to get introduced to the process of wine making and taste different types of alcoholic beverages. Roshnik is also famous for its dried fig production, so we will be able to accompany wine tasting with some nice dried figs, types of cheeses etc, depending on the season of the visit.

Had a wonderful time visiting this winery with this fantastic tour group! Our guide, Gentjan, spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful and informative. Highly recommend this day trip from Berat. In addition to the wines, the drive itself was stunning!

Our guide from 1001 Albanian Adventures was really excellent - first in helping us select a relevant tour (Alpeta vineyard). He was also really flexible with us with with our timing, helped us add a dinner at the last minute and shared so much about his own family and culture. The vineyard is absolutely stunning. We had wine of the trip there, the winemaker was insightful and we ended up having a beautiful dinner with his family in the local village. On the next trip I'd stay at Alpeta in their clean and comfortable hostel for a few nights, rather than Berat. Not their fault, seems to be a glitch with the app. We went back at 6 and the tour is great. I don’t think you need to book through an agency, just get a cab and make a reservation direct. We had a lovely driver, but he had to wait for us and we were having so much fun we overstayed our tour time, which I feel terrible about in hindsight.A very nice experience, the guide was very good and had very good knowledge of the English language.
