This was a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon. Rick, our guide was very interesting and made the river and its wildlife come alive in his knowledge and stories. He was very good at educating, but his humor was also great. The river and creeks were so beautiful and peaceful. We saw a lot of wildlife and learned so much about their habitats. I would highly recommend this tour. It is off the beaten path, but so worth it! I also bought some Carolina gold rice in the gift shop. Can't wait to try it.Great guide who happily shared his passion and knowledge of this gem. Well worth the trip and old recommend it to people of all ages.

What a nice time out in the beautiful bodies of water (didn't realize we would be on 7 different tributaries). It was a fun, engaging time with our tour guide Rick, and Captain Sid. They were determined to have the group see an alligator or two, which we finally did. The osprey nests were abundant, with cute heads poking out of the top. It was so interesting to hear of the ospreys family life, and how devoted they are as families. Rick was a wealth of knowledge, and really made our tour so enjoyable. It was a nice family run business including Bella, the beautiful pup that came along fur the ride. Definitely recommend doing this tour. We are locals that brought our Canadian friends, who also has a blast :)This is a must go if you are here in Myrtle Beach. Amazing what is down the Waccamaw River. This is a must go if you are here in Myrtle Beach. Amazing what is down the Waccamaw River. Many osprey nests, sliding turtles everywhere. The best was when we were in the hunt for an alligator. We found one. The tour guide was very informative about the area and the river. They have a small gift shop with all sorts of goodies. They also sell Tupelo honey and Carolina sweet rice.
