Great way to see some of the wildlife of South Carolina. The people handling the tour were very informative and friendly.

The tour guide was very informative and she had a very good sense of humor. The two captains were very polite friendly and professional.

When we arrived, we saw a peacock with its tail feathers fully spread! Just beautiful! We headed to the boat and while waiting played a swing ring toss hook game. Lots of laughs. Then it was time for the boat tour. Captain Brian drove and Captain Sid educated and entertained all of us. We learned about the area and saw all kinds of wildlife in their natural habitat. For example, several male osprey with their female life partner close by sitting on her nest, a 12 foot alligator, a blue egret and more. My husband and I treated our sons and daughter-in-laws. Everyone had a great experience and they even thanked us! wink. Highly recommended!!

One of the best nature tours we have taken. Pristine boat - captain incredibly knowledgeable and personable - patient - and we saw gators up close - as well as many birds and turtles. His explanations of everything were detailed and so interesting - outstanding tour. Darling gift shop with reasonable prices. Immaculate restroom in the gift shop. Great experience!

Trip is a great alternative to the MB beach scene. Knowledgeable guides, saw diverse wildlife as advertised, and WRT website based prices were reasonable. Weather cooperated. Great tour.

We really enjoyed this experience. The hosts were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The river cruise is easy, and we saw lots of wildlife including birds, alligators, turtles. I think learning the history and details about the wildlife was fascinating. It was good to do the 11 AM departure too because you have the rest of the day to do what you want.

The scenery is unique and beautiful. The tour guide is funny and very knowledgeable about so many aspects of the river. Birds. Snakes. Alligators. Turtles. Vegetation. And different every time you go, because nature is never the same.!!

We were in Myrtle Beach with nothing to do. We found this tour online and, to be honest, we were just trying to pass the time and were not expecting much. We were so pleasantly surprised by the excellent tour! Easy to find. Easy to check in. The boat was comfortable and roomy. We saw turtles, ospreys, other water fowl, and alligators, along with a myriad of plant life. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. The boat captain was excellent! If you are near here, I highly recommend this tour!

Loved it! Witty and informative narration, lots of wildlife and bird sightings, nice pace with time to take photos along the way. Highly recommended! A nice day out on the river. Good history lesson, as well.

Captain Sid was very knowledgeable and I learned quite a bit about the ecology of the area. Lots to see osprey, turtles, alligators and peacocks at the dock

The Waccamaw River Nature & Wildlife Tour was absolutely serine, beautiful and interesting. One caution though as a person of color. I suggest the tour guides refrain from telling the story of the people of West Africa, who were violently captured and enslaved against their will. They did not accompany the Colonist for a tour of the America’s looking forward to a life of enslavement. It was just unnecessary to tell and uncomfortable to hear. It was an horrific time in the US. Let’s tell the truth and continue forward.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about not only the wildlife and the environment but also about the history of the area. We saw an abundance of wildlife on this trip and we were able to see alligators and osprey up close. Would go again next time we visit.
