I joined the upper Zambezi canoeing activity, and it was amazing ! It starts with a game drive in the Zambezi national parks. The staff was super friendly and generous with wildlife explanation. The vehicle is perfect to spot animals and we got to see zebras, antelopes, girafes and much more. When arrived on the launch site, we’ve been served breakfast facing the Zambezi. I don’t think there is any better start of the day! We got then a safety briefing and some falls explanation by our canoe instructor, right before heading to the water, all equipped and ready. We then canoe for around two hours spotting crocodiles and hippos on our way and tried to avoid them at all cost ! The nature around us was breathtaking and we enjoyed some “mini rapids” that just add some fun. When we got out, our supper driver, cook and tour guide prepared us lunch served on the returned canoe once again facing the Zambezi. It was really a great experience, I felt so privileged, and I definitely encourage you to do this on your trip to Vic falls! This was an incredible experience. Our guides were amazing. Had the most AMAZING day canoeing the Zambezi with our fantastic guides. This was definitely one of my favourite activities I did while in Vic Falls and I would recommend anyone thinking of it to just go ahead and book - you won’t regret it! We saw wildlife before the canoeing even started during our drive through the national park, and ended with a beautiful sunset lunch next to a herd of elephants - what a “pinch me” moment! Thank you to Prince and the team for sharing their knowledge, making us feel safe and for being such good fun 😊 I would also recommend getting the photos taken by the amazing photographer - it was so nice to be in the moment without worrying about capturing it ourselves. We now have a virtual album of memories to last a lifetime. Thank you from the bottom of my heart guys - I’ll be back 😊
