We were picked up from our hotel at 7:30 promptly. A 4 wheel drive with bench seats across the back tray and two inflatable canoes strapped across the roof. There is 1hr 15min'ish drive to get to the launch point well into the Zambezi National Park. Mike and Melvyn were great at finding animals along the way and explaining a bit about the park. Also good for a chuckle. At the launch point we stopped to get all the gear set up and have breakfast. Prince and his team were very organised. Safety briefing completed we were on our way. Four canoes with two people in each and a guide in the front and rear canoes. Within minutes we had seen our first crocodile, minutes later a bigger one sunning itself on a grass islet. The paddling was fairly straight forward, with the current toward the falls. Fortunately we would get out well before we got anywhere near them. And then the wild life began. Another large Croc scooting down the sandbank into the water. A couple of herds (some use the collective noun 'bloat' ) of hippopotamus in the water and then a larger bloat sunning themselves on a sand bank. Elephants, Giraffe, Warthogs, Impala, Vultures, A Stork standing on one leg at the top of a tree, fishermen on the water and in the reeds. It was a spectacular day finished by a great bush lunch and then back to Town. Well Done Prince Team for looking after us. Spectacular.

From start to finish this tour was amazing. We were picked up promptly and driven approx. 1hr through the National Park seeing elephants, giraffes, impala etc. before stopping for the most delicious breakfast of eggs etc. Then a quick safety talk and into the inflatable canoes. We paddled/drifted for a couple of hours before we had a drink break passing hippos and crocodiles on the way. Then another 45mins paddle before we stopped for lunch. Again the food was amazing, eating only metres from elephants. Could not fault this tour or Victoria Falls Canoeing Company.

So enjoyed this trip. Very Much. The opportunity to be on the Zambezi to experience it in its full dimension was/is a wonderful experience. The tour itself was safe, comfortable and interesting. The guides were funny, intelligent and liked us! I could participate in the paddling as much as I wanted ( but really I was probably more of a hindrance than a help). while it was a very dry wet season, the river was flowing quite strongly, my guide was adept and strong negotiating the flow. Delightful. Wildlife included hippos (we kept at a safe distance), many birds and then Sable (!) giraffes, antelopes++ and others. The food- breakfast and lunch - were fresh and delicious. I was surprised by the quality of it. Water and other drinks were offered frequently etc. the only downside- it hade to finish. I am looking forward to doing this trip again. And again.

We had the most amazing time with Prince and his team on the upper Zambezi. From the onset communication was really good and Prince quickly replied to any questions I had. The canoeing was great and very different on both days. The guides were very knowledgeable and took excellent care of us. We chose to have an overnight camp, which ended up far exceeding our expectations. If you get the chance, do it! It is a wonderful way to experience the Zambezi.

We took our 10 year old - the lead guide kept her with him so she felt safe, and the trip was amazing!

This was an incredible experience. Our guides were amazing. We felt very well prepared for the journey we were going on as we were briefed about the whole tour before hand. The food was so good and the guides really made this experience special. They were all very knowledgeable about the land and we felt very safe the entire trip. Would highly recommend to everyone amd would definitely do it again.

Had the most AMAZING day canoeing the Zambezi with our fantastic guides. This was definitely one of my favourite activities I did while in Vic Falls and I would recommend anyone thinking of it to just go ahead and book - you won’t regret it! We saw wildlife before the canoeing even started during our drive through the national park, and ended with a beautiful sunset lunch next to a herd of elephants - what a “pinch me” moment! Thank you to Prince and the team for sharing their knowledge, making us feel safe and for being such good fun 😊 I would also recommend getting the photos taken by the amazing photographer - it was so nice to be in the moment without worrying about capturing it ourselves. We now have a virtual album of memories to last a lifetime. Thank you from the bottom of my heart guys - I’ll be back 😊

A fantastic day out on the Zambezi and great knowledge shared of the wildlife along the way. We had so much fun canoeing in the rapids and getting close to lots of animals. Sunset food and drink as we watched a herd of elephants walk just a few metres away!

We had an excellent experience with this company. I was nervous to wire money to another country in advance of our tour, but I'm glad I did: they were highly communicative and incredibly professional throughout our booking. The trip itself was fantastic. We had plenty of support: a trip leader, wildlife interpretive guide, a driver/cook and a photographer who took nice photos of us while we were paddling (saving our cameras from risk of getting wet). And we were back to our hotel on time, which meant we had time to see Victoria Falls that afternoon. Watching the water crash over the falls, was fun to think that we'd been in the Zambezi earlier that day.

Fun morning spent canoeing on the Zambezi, well looked after by the team, especially when dodging the hippos and negotiating the small rapids. Plus a tasty lunch in the bush. Thanks guys,

We had a wonderful time with Prince and the crew. We were collected at our accommodation and taken to the spot where we would start our canoeing endeavor. The staring point is in a National Park, so the drive to the starting point is beautiful and you have the opportunity to spot some game. We were served with a wholesome breakfast, picnic style, before departure and a lovely lunch when we were finished. The guides are well informed, timely and extremely polite. They know the river well and we never felt at risk even when the hippos and crocodiles were not too far away. An incredible experience I would recommend to all!

Prince, Z and the rest of their crew could not have been better guides and hosts. Friendly and open to questions and conversation. Learned so much about nature and life in Zimbabwe. Pickup from our lodge was on-time, and we discovered that my wife and I were going to be the only participants. We still received the full experience. Two riverside cold buffets, one for breakfast before our canoe trip, and one for lunch after exiting the river. The canoe trip itself was informative and interesting. We felt safe the entire time, even when sharing the river with hippos. Would recommend without reservation.

Excellent breakfast and lunch served in idyllic locations.Close encounters with elephants ,hippos and crocodiles. Brilliant and knowledgeable guide who helped keep us at a safe distance from the hippos. Highly recommend!

This trip was amazing! The services was exceptional. We loved the small game drive on the way to the launch point within the National park. The breakfast and lunch was delicious and the canoeing was relaxing and fun! If we had done this tour the first day we would have booked it again.

Had a wonderful half day canoe trip. Everything provided, safe but still exciting with hippos and crocs to watch for! Excellent staff and tasty breakfast and lunch included!
