Stop At: Kampong Phluk Floating Village, Siem Reap Cambodia
At Kampong Phluk we hop in a boat and explore, taking in the beautiful waterways and charming houses on stilts. In dry season you'll be able to see the watermarks on the beams showing how high the waters rise, and in wet season you'll see the villagers and fishermen going about their business by boat.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Tonle Sap Lake, Lower Mekong Basin Cambodia
Going out on the Tonle Sap itself is a deeply calming experience thanks to the still waters meeting the horizon as far as you can see. We round off the day with a drink (and dinner, if you wish) at a traditional floating restaurant to watch the sun set over the lake.

I booked the English speaking tour on 01.06.2022 (our guide Phanne spoke English perfectly). The tour includes a nice boat ride through a village build on stilts, which looks impressive even when it's only the beginning of the rainy season and the water level is not that high. However, it is recommended to inquire about the water level before booking, as the boat tour is shorter if the river is too shallow (you will see the village nevertheless). Also, I was told that the water becomes crystal clear when there's more rain, but in my opinion the muddy water does not take away any of the village's charm. The boat ride continues to a floating restaurant for dinner and sunset (if you're into snake or crocodile meat, here's your chance). It was cloudy on my tour, but the view was still worth it. In the end, the boat will take you back through the village. Thanks a lot to our guide Phanne who was super nice and had a lot of interesting information about the village! What an amazing trip I've done today to see this floating village in Kampong Plouk, I got picked up from my hostel by our wonderful tour guide, Phanne who speaks perfectly. What an amazing trip I've done today to see this floating village in Kampong Plouk, I got picked up from my hostel by our wonderful tour guide, Phanne who speaks perfectly. The journey took nearly an hour drive from Siem Reap to the point where we hopped on our boat and cruise down to see this beautiful fisherman village. Along the way Phanne explained us about how people live there, when is the high and low water season and how it impacts people's lives in the village. It was wondering trip indeed and Phanne was very informative, and very professional with her role as a tour guide. I'm very satisfied with the trip. Thanks so much!Joined this tour with another 5 people. It was very nice and very fortunate that we able to had a beautiful setsun. Our tour guide Mr Vuthy is very knowledgeable.
