On our way up the hill she was very informative telling us about all we were seeing and walked at a pace that was comfortable for everyone. There were plenty of photo opportunities. First, we originally booked a sunset hike but the weather was going to be very very hot, we received a call from Mad Desert to reschedule last minute and they were very very accommodating and understanding to switch to a sunrise hike instead. Our guide, Cooper, was outstanding! His communication before hand was great to make sure we could find where we are going and if we needed anything! During our sunrise hike Cooper made sure to guide where we felt comfortable and at the pace we could keep up! Coopers knowledge and patience were admirable and we could not appreciate seeing the most beautiful sunrise more! Bonus: he took some great photos & there were snacks :)Unique hike. Matt was our guide and his knowledge, accommodating and easy-going demeanor and personality were exactly what we needed on our last night in Scottsdale and our sunset hike. While I lived in AZ when attending grad school at ASU, my wife had never been to the desert southwest. Matt not only provided the perfect introduction for her, I learned some pretty cool things too! I would definitely recommend Mad Desert Trekking— and by the sound of it, they have hikes to accommodate all skill levels, length of hikes desired, and flexible timeframes and length of hikes too! Great communication during booking, before the hike and even some post hike info about various sites to visit as well! Awesome! 👏
