The hike was nice and on a trail that was not busy with other tourists. Liz the guide was very personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this experience and you will be lucky if you have Liz as a guide.

What an awesome experience! Being in town for a conference we wanted to also enjoy the spectacular scenery, but where to go? Enter Mad Desert Trekking! Liz was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, super kind, and set a pace we could manage without making a big deal about me stopping every few feet to take photos, even taking some of my friend and I. No need for a selfie, whaaat?!? Wonderful tour and worth every penny!

We had an incredible Sunset hike! Our guide, Liz, was friendly and informative! She made the hike perfect for our family. We took breaks when we needed and still made it to the top of the mountain for the perfect family photo as the sunset behind the mountains. We highly recommend this to anybody looking for an adventure. Ask for Liz when you make your reservations!!

Henry is the man! My wife and I did his guided sunrise hike and had the best time. He was so knowledgeable of the plant life and the history of the area. He was very nice and was great about going at our pace. We highly recommend.

What an amazing experience. The guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. At first I wasn’t sure if we needed a guide, but the information that we learned along the hike and having him to take pictures at the top and guide us down when it started to get dark was Priceless. The views are amazing. The hike is a bit challenging, but not overly difficult.

We went on the sunrise guided tour with Jennifer! Amazing views, so many great pictures and Jennifer was just the best ! It was like hiking with a friend , she was so prepared and she pointed out so many things that we would have missed on our own . We’re so happy we got up bright and early to hang out with Jennifer and see the amazing Arizona landscape at Sunrise. Loved it !!!!

Our tour guide Cooper was amazing. He gave us all the information about the different fauna of the desert. My son thoroughly enjoyed his hike and was very happy that Cooper took us to different peaks. The tour provided us with water and snacks for her hike which was an added bonus because we did not have to carry it. Overall and enjoyable experience.

Wonderful morning hike. Our guide, Jennifer, was awesome, providing extensive knowledge about the area. Jennifer was personable, experienced and really cared that we had a good time. The trail highlighted the beauty of Arizona and the sunrise was amazing. I would highly recommend this excursion. Pro tip: if visiting from the east coast, schedule the sunrise trek on your first day. You will be up early anyway!

Jay was great company on our early morning hike to see the sunrise over the Sonoran desert. He shared fascinating information about the terrain, cactus, and their use by Native Americans. Best experience we have had so far on our trip!
