We will learn more about the wine production process by visiting the production room and the wooden barrel room. You will taste 3 local wines accompanied by a plate of tapas with cheese and sausages.

This wine tasting tour was a real gem of a find on Trip Advisor. Antonio picked us up from our hotel and explained the itinerary. This consisted of a trip to the vineyard, with a stop en route at Moorish village, Silves. The vineyard itself is set in the rolling hills of the Silves, and I could not think of a better way to spend a sunny morning in Lagos. Antonio is very knowledgable on local and Portuguese history/architecture/wildlife and of course wine. He was extremely personable and it was an absolute pleasure deal with. Antonio is an easy going and knowledgeable tour guide! He helped us (30 yr old car-less couple) navigate Lagos. He's probably been asked the same questions 100 times but the conversation was fluid and laid back. We loved our stop in Silves at the castle before the wine tour and all the lil tid bits in between like historic & current facts about the region and public art murals. If you're interested in just the drinking/instagraming part then I would suggest hiring a private driver bc this tour is worth engaging in the whole experience.Antonio was super friendly and knowledgable about Algarve history and the wines of the region.
