Pass By: Jim Neville Marine Preserve, Little Sarasota Bay, Sarasota, FL
Our Guides will meet you at our kayak trailer and take you kayaking through Jim Neville Preserve. You will kayak through and around Mangrove islands. Your Guide will give you history of the area, share wildlife siting's, you'll stop off at a private beach, and possibly spot a manatee or dolphin. This tour is a birders delight. When done with the tour your guide will return you to the same area you left from. This tour is safe for all ages and abilities as it is a slow paddle.

We stopped on an island and looked for lizards in the walked on the beach.

We enjoyed all the hirstoey of the area. 2/3 of us were local but we didn’t know all that he talked about. It was good exercise but not too much (for an older adult with us). A great morning!

We had a wonderful time. For 2 it was their first time out in a yak. Two others had been out before and I have experience with flatwater yaking, but this was my first time with a "sit on top" kayak...
5 of us "oldies but goodies" ladies went out for an ecosystem kayak adventure with Kayaking SRQ. We had a wonderful time. For 2 it was their first time out in a yak. Two others had been out before and I have experience with flatwater yaking, but this was my first time with a "sit on top" kayak. I loved it. SRQ uses high quality kayaks, Perception Tribe and Perception Pescador, both in 12 foot length. They also have the Tribe in a tandem for pair(s) to use. Jeff was our guide and he told us about the bay, mangroves, pelicans, manatees, and other aquatic lifeforms in the area. He gave us a history lesson of Siesta Key. It was about a 2 hour paddle. Loved every minute of it. I would definitely recommend this tour and/or just a self guided paddle at the Siesta Key location.
