Ybor City IS the history of Tampa! We learned so much about the people, their cultures, the trials and triumphs. It was fascinating. We did feel there was a good bit of repetition, so the tour could be shorter than the 2 hours. It was a beautiful day, so we weren't troubled by the length at this time of year, but in the summer it would be excruciating! Our guide held our tour group for 20 minutes to wait for a couple who were late, which was surprising. Had I been the guide, I would have require the late-comers to meet us along the way. The tour route was simple and very slow it was possible. Otherwise, we thought the tour was a great intro to the area.Max was the best tour guide we’ve had and we’ve been on a lot of tours. You can tell he’s passionate about ensuring you learn the history of Ybor. He will ask several times if you have any questions and will ensure you understand the history before you leave.
