My daughter and I found this wagyu and sake experience about a month prior to coming to Japan, we scheduled it for our second to last day because that was the only availability during our trip—- and boy do we understand why it gets booked up. This was the absolute best dining experience we have endured here in Tokyo (In reality there are so many great places to check out here, but honestly this experience took top 3, no doubt). For our fortune we had Joe as our host, we called him HAWAII JOE😆 he spoke perfect English, so his education portion of the meal was very easy to understand. This experience is not only trying to stimulate your tastebuds with amazing food and drinks but they also teach you a bit about the background of Wagyu meat and, if interested, will tell you about sake and it’s different grades and categorization. We didn’t come for a history lesson but left knowing a little more than we walked in with which was really neat. We felt this place deserved our review because they were honestly so AWESOME! We expected small portions of meat and maybe 5-6 different sake… girl not at all, you are in for a real treat with this place. There was about 7 courses + dessert, and not to forget about the 11 different sake trials they serve. And they are not stingy with the portions. Your sake dish is refilled and refilled and refilled as if they don’t want you to go dry. The meat portions start small but gradually increase as the quality of the meat gets better. We both walked out of there full and no need to go find a small course elsewhere. Before leaving, the banter between us and the staff was so joyful, they explained to us the meaning of their sake cup phrase (I’m unable to spell it as it is in Japanese) but that little snit bit was a highlight of our night (it was a had to be there moment). Very special thank you to Hawaii Joe for such a lovely night and for keeping us entertained the entire evening. We will be sure to tell our friends and family to try this place out and will definitely be back again with a special request that Joe be our host.We loved the experience! Generous portions of meat and endless pours of sake. Great staff that explained the history, process, and distinction of the products very well! Entertaining evening and left with full satisfied bellies!
