The tour was starting a bit late, and that upseted my 4 year old. This was when we decided to go back to the hotel. Then one of the persons responsible for the tour (Diony), kindly offered to take us in a private tour so that we could better accommodate our child. He drove us to Miguel, an excellent Guide, who despite only having 2 adults and a 4 yo to show the city around, worked and explained everything as if we were a big group. He even spoke a bit louder so that the people around without a guide could get the info as well. They were very kind, professional, attentive and super courteous. My son was in love with Miguel. This tour kind of started on the wrong foot, as some other guests were late to leave their hotels and made everyone else late. With that said, this review could have been quite negative, however Diony was fast on accommodating us so that we could go to Santo Domingo and enjoy our day there the best way possible. Thank you very much for the professinalism and wonderful day we spent there! We look forward to getting back to DR and touring with GOPARADISERD again. Diony and Miguel were amazing!!!I booked this tour for my wife and I because we wanted a tour to better learn about the local culture and history of the DR. I booked this tour for my wife and I because we wanted a tour to better learn about the local culture and history of the DR. In short the day was stressful, unorganized, and felt rushed. I do not recommend. Read on for the detailed story. The morning started out by the driver being 45 minutes late to our resort. We were picked up with nothing but a "sorry, there was a mistake". We were then taken to a gas station and told to get out. We were thinking "what are we doing here???" Our first driver then walked off and later came back with another guy. He told us this new guy was our driver and to follow him. The new guy spoke no English (we requested an English guide). He put us in a different van with another couple that were from Columbia (didn't speak English). We then drive to another resort and pick up another couple I believe were from Italy (again did not speak English). We then took off towards Santo Domingo. This was a 2.5 hour drive each way. The driver blasted DR local music the whole way. It was so loud that no one could even try to talk. We get to Santo Domingo and pull into the first stop where we get a tour guide assigned to us at Tres Ojos. Spent some time looking at these caverns, then the guide tells up we need to hurry to the next stop because the city was closing down at 3:00 because of a mandated COVID curfew. We try to get to a museum, but spent about an hour stuck in traffic and navigating neighborhoods that were making everyone feel uneasy. We drove by one museum and parked in the street for maybe 3 minutes while the guide told us what was inside, then we drove off. We get to the Columbo House and the whole tour takes like 15 minutes. We then rush off to a cathedral for about 30 minutes. We then get to eat lunch at a restaurant that was buffet style. The food was OK but nothing great. We then walk out and police are making people leave the streets. We get back on the bus for the 3 hour drive back to Punta Cana (music blasting the entire time). I would say the entire excursion lasted nearly 8-9 hours and of that we were actually seeing sites for 1.5 hours. Maybe we just had bad luck that day, but we agreed to never do it again.I had a wonderful time visiting the highlights and most famous/oldest parts of Santo Domingo. I had a wonderful time visiting the highlights and most famous/oldest parts of Santo Domingo. Miguel did a great job of explaining to us the details of each locations. He speaks English fluently and that made it easier for us to understand. We started off at the beautiful Tres Ojos fresh water lagoon and explained to us the natural rock formation and other interesting details. We visited the oldest cathedral in the americas which was a fascinating place to see. Also viewed the presidential palace among other fun places to see. We were served an amazing lunch and we finished off the tour with some great chocolate tasting. Thanks for the fun tour and I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get a good feel for the city of Domingo at a very affordable price. It starts with a comfortable ride into the city. The tour involves exploring a cave followed by a short driving tour. Then lunch and a longer walking tour with shopping stops. We had the best driver on the island! Wonderful guide was very knowledgeable. Lunch was excellent.

Leo was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job of giving us the necessary historical information about Santo Domingo. He translated both in English and Spanish effortlessly. He ensured everyone was safe and having a good time. I strongly recommend this activity even though the travel time between Punta Cana to the capital was long.
