Memorable. But long day trip to Santo Domingo. From hotel to hotel it was about 12 hours. Took some time for the driver to get us and to pick one other up and drop one off along the way. Once we actually got into Santo Domingo, we met with the best guide ever Miguel. We started off at the national park where the caverns were absolutely spectacular. Miguel was sure to point out the history of that particular area. After that, we stopped off at a few historical areas like the Columbus mausoleum, the presidential Palace, all along the way, telling us the history of the areas and then stopped off at a quaint little place for lunch. Proceeded to the Santo Domingo sign, saw the church in the Godfather, the first City Hall, and then proceeded to one of the first cathedrals ever built. The cathedral was spectacular. Stopped for a beverage and souvenir shop. Only unfortunate part of the trip was one of our travel companions, put her card into an ATM and couldn’t get it back. Highly recommend you bring cash if needed and not use any ATM in the Dominican Republic. Was a long two hours back, but definitely worth the day. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Definitely worth it if you’re wanting to learn the history of the Dominican.

Guide was brilliant, lots information on the caves and Santa Domingo. Lovely lunch stop with lots of choice and facilities. Santa Domingo was lovely in the centre and our Guide provided information on the place and the outskirts of the centre which was interesting. It took 2 hours at start of day before we eventually set off with bus changes but once allocated the driver was the same from there on to end of day and he was lovely. Very long day though, 12 hour's

It was fun, there was a lot to see and the guide was very informative. The only thing I would say is that you should wear comfortable shoes

Good tour around Christopher Columbus lighthouse and lovely place for lunch, but we were not told the night before that three eyes lake will be closed. On the day the national palace was also closed.

Is was a nice trip getting familiar with historical places and learning about the country's history. The scenery at the cave was lovely. I enjoyed hanging out in Colonial

All of tour stops were great. The day went by very fast. The only issue, and this had nothing to do with the tour, was the heat. Be prepared to drink a lot of water and keep cool. The history provided by the tour guide were insightful at the various stops. If you have the opportunity, go and enjoy yourselves.

This tour was a bust. First we got very little about the history of the DR. Very high level overview only, I had to look to Wikipedia mid-tour for more context and details. Second, we requested an English guide, but we were combined with a Spanish speaking group (we were the only English speakers) so we had to listen to all your details in both languages, which meant we were feeling like we got about 50% of the info we should have received. We did have some good locations visited, like the cathedral in Santo Domingo. We visited a cenotes sink hole and it was cool, but the visit could have been much shorter there. We spent more time in preselected shops and vendors than touring the city. As our tour bus was pulling away from the city, I finally got a view of the entire riverside wall of the old Spanish fort along the harbor. It would have made for great pictures if they had actually let us see that. I’m a history buff and I would liked to have heard about the history of the fortress and the various battles fought there over the centuries. I would not recommend this tour, unfortunately.

contact me when you are scheduled to arrive.I missed the trip. Stop the high tech crap. I am 74 and needed a long overdue vacation from all the stress of truck driving in Portland Oregon, not more headaches. As I didn't get to go on the tour, as I didn't get contacted,I want a refund.

The tour was not quite as described. We spent a lot of time in the bus and kept switching coaches and were very crowded on the bus (people sitting on the steps and extra seats squeezed in). The guide spoke Spanish and it felt like an afterthought when he translated something to English. He basically brought us to very specific shops that he seemed to have a relationship with (kickbacks?) even though there were varied (and cheaper) shops literally around the corner.

we got to see the city and some important parts of it, and it was nice, but my boyfriend doesnt speak spanish so i was translating better than the guide the whole time, because the guide’s english was really lacking - if i didnt speak spanish i would have been very lost. he took us to a few markets for souvenirs - very overpriced and the sales people are like vultures that dont leave you alone to browse for even a second. very suffocating. bus was nice and otherwise a fine tour. wouldnt do it again though

Tour guide was nice and accommodating to everyone even though his English wasn't the best. The only thing I didn't like about the tour was the fact that they didn't offer any water or anything on the ride. We walked for hours in the heat and nothing provided

The tour includes to many stops at souvenir shops and waiting times. Be careful to not book this tour if you are not starting from Punta Cana. The guide was good and experienced but I can not recommend this tour.

Interesting tour of the City of Santo Domingo with visit to museums, churches, and house of Columbus. The tour guides were very good in explaining the history of the city. The lunch at the restaurant was good. It was a buffet. Bring your walking shoes.

We joined the tour on our honeymoon. It was so smooth, we were picked up from our hotel in Punta Cana and we travelled as a small group. Except the fact that the restaurant emplyees were rude and the driver was driving so aggressively, everything was great. Also for the prices, it was cheaper than what our hotel was offering.

I want start off my saying that Miguel and Leo were both amazing. This excursion was so educational and fun . I would totally do this again. If you don’t really like to walk a lot I wouldn’t recommend but it is totally worth it.
