Yoko was outstanding! She, like most Japanese was punctual and met us at the lobby of our hotel. She custom tailored out itinerary according to not only to the list of things we wanted to see but also the weather. In addition, she took us to some very local places where we were the only foreigners. A wonderful experience! Next time we will plan all of Japan with her travel company. We also booked the Sumo Wresting and a custom tour from Kyoto to Nara to Osaka.I was on a business trip with a work colleague to Indonesia and decided to work in a long layover in Japan on the return trip home to the US. I was on a business trip with a work colleague to Indonesia and decided to work in a long layover in Japan on the return trip home to the US. I've always wanted to visit Tokyo and decided to seek out a tour guide to help me get the most out of a short trip. There were a lot of 3 hour tours out there to see a specific area of Tokyo, but none gave me the feeling that we'd get to see anything more that a typical tourist restaurant or attraction. I came across My Japan Guide and am so grateful I did. We were arriving in Tokyo on Friday Nov 16 and flying out on Sunday Nov 18, so we had a very limited time. I was able to get in touch with Yoko-san via the website email and she was very prompt and started suggesting itineraries right away. We worked through some logistics and preferences based on things that I wanted to see and do. I wanted to really experience the food scene in Tokyo especially wagyu and sushi. Yoko-san did not disappoint. She arranged a wonderful wagyu Teppanyaki experience for us on Friday night at a local restaurant that was off the beaten path in a residential neighborhood. We were staying in Shibuya and would never have found this place on our own. Just having her guide us through the subway system was worth the price of admission!! On Saturday, she had a full day planned for us with visits to various shrines and temples al while making stops for drinks and food along the way. The highlight being a traditional sushi lunch just near the Tsukiji outer market. Yoko-san took care of all the reservations for our meals and was such a great resource communicate with the chef. She got us seats right at the counter and we had an amazing meal. We saw so much that day visiting various sights around Tokyo. I'm not sure how she was able to squeeze in so much without ever feeling rushed. I can only imagine what she's able to do when you have more time to spend with her. I can't thank here enough for making our short trip so memorable. We are experienced travelers on business around the globe and I know that there is no way we would have been able to see and do so much without her help. She was so knowledgeable and was able to explain the sites we were visiting. Thanks again Yoko-san and I can't wait to return with my family to experience more of Japan. My Japan Guide will be the first call I make when planning our trip!!!!I traveled to Tokyo with my family of 5, all grown ups who had very different interests. My family visited Tokyo for the first time over the New Years holiday. Xavier led us for two days of sightseeing - I don't know how we could have done it without him. Xavier guided us through the Tokyo metro so we got to see a wide array of places - and we gained confidence to ride the metro on our own on the days and nights without him. Xavier was great fun to be with and he shared wonderful insights into the Japanese culture from a western perspective, being from France but living in Asia for 25 years. And Xavier was kind enough to send us suggestions and metro routings for activities on the days and nights we were not together. Thank you Xavier for a wonderful time in Tokyo!
