We visited a couple of distilleries and Fernando’s knowledge of the Tequila industry and the history was amazing - so much knowledge- he has a real passion for what he does. Then we went on to the beautiful town of Tequila for a relaxing lunch and a tour of the town - again accompanied by Fernando’s insights. Fernando was one, if not the only, tour I found available on Christmas Eve and lucky for us! He and his driver Polo picked us up promptly at our hotel and headed out to the tequila valley. His English is excellent, he has considerable knowledge not only of the tequila industry but of Mexican history. We stopped at a boutique distillery, and more medium (and touristy) distillery, the town of Tequila, and an agave field. He talked us through every step of the tequila making process and also how to appreciate a tequila tasting. In Tequila, He showed us where to get an authentic Mexican lunch. They were so helpful and changed the tour slightly to accommodate us, also helped us with a completely unrelated issue. Definitely use Fernando if you appreciate history, tequila, and local culture! We had a great time with Fernando. He is very knowledgeable about tequila and you can tell he enjoys sharing his knowledge . He is also just a very fun and nice guy.

Our private tour with Fernando and our driver Polo was awesome! Fernando is extremely knowledgeable in the process and culture of tequila. He speaks great English and makes it very fun and welcoming to ask any questions! We went to craft distilleries which we throughly enjoyed since we got to be up close with the processes and more private tastings. We then went to the city of Tequila where he taught us about the history and showed us great food. He also let us explore on our own after. Don’t forget to look out for the agave beer! Overall an excellent experience!
