You’ll spend the day with one of our hosts discovering the true nature of Kobe - and there is plenty of nature to see, the city is wedged between sweeping coastlines and vast mountain ranges after all. Explore the thriving Kobe Motomachi Shopping Street and indulge in authentic cuisine in Nankinmachi, Kobe’s Chinatown. Scale the Kobe Port Tower, where you can see the city's sweeping skyline highlighted by the neon, and discover hidden gems along the way, like the smaller shrines and historic streets that many visitors miss - but not you!

Ordering food from those "pre-order" machines is a bit daunting if you don't have someone to show you how the process works. I think I still need another lesson, LOL. We had a day in Kobe before flying home. We booked a 4 hour walking tour with Hugo who took us around many interesting sites. We had a day in Kobe before flying home. We booked a 4 hour walking tour with Hugo who took us around many interesting sites. Hugo had an in-depth knowledge of Kobe and took us to some Shinto Shrines then up to the old colonial merchant houses. All the time giving a commentary on the areas and the history of not just the city but also of Japan generally. We finished the tour with a visit to China Town where we picked up some street food before heading to the waterfront. The heavens opened just as we where ending our tour and we said our goodbyes before heading back to the coach to the airport. Highly recommend it and thank you to Hugo for being a great guide.Larry M

We worked with CityUnscripted to create an 8 hour tour from Kobe to Kyoto and it was great. Our tour guide, Taiga, communicated well in advance to be sure he had some idea of what we wanted to do and see, met us on time, guided us from our cruise ship to the high speed train, and then through the subway system in Kyoto. We saw many highlights of the City (six hours clearly is not enough to "do it all") and then Taiga made sure we got back to Kobe well in time for our "all aboard". Taiga picked out a very good - but not crowded - local Japanese restaurant in Kyoto (and explained the menu). He was courteous, sensitive to our needs, well versed in the City, and assured that we had a great tour. Highly recommend CityUnscripted for their tours in Japan.John F

Taiga met us at our ship and took complete care of us for the day. He made the day completely care-free and took care to accommodate our requests and preferences. Without his assistance the day could have been frustrating with finding our way, buying tickets, and knowing what to do. We had an exciting ride on the Shinkansen, a walk in the bamboo forest, visits to 2 shines, and shopping. Taiga even helped one of us reading glasses in the very busy shopping area. We liked his concern for our comfort and helping us to realize our goals for the day. We would ask for Taiga again in a heartbeat. And by the way, his English is excellent.yayaAlyce
