We had a completely different itinerary as the one we booked and paid for, we were expecting to went into all the mosques that the tour is offering and we just saw them from outside because of the ´´hudge lines´´. Also we were expecting to use the ferry throw Asia and Europe but they never took us there. It´s a lot of money for just walking outside the buldings and wasting time on a Rugs exhibition that took us almost 2 hours that were not on the itinerary and they were expecting we were going to buy a 6 thousand dolars turkish rug. Is not what they promise on the tour and it is so expensive for what it is. In that case is cheaper if you take a taxi from the airport to the City and walk by yourself all around the Mosques, Baazars, etc.As a single woman traveler, I am so grateful for this layover tour allowing me to see Istanbul in the most organized and safest way possible. As a single woman traveler, I am so grateful for this layover tour allowing me to see Istanbul in the most organized and safest way possible. Latif was very flexible in letting me craft an itinerary that included all the experiences most important to me, and sent incredibly helpful diagrams of how to navigate the airport. My tour guide Mevhibe was the highlight of my trip — Our time together felt live visiting an old friend or family member. She was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and made my short visit so memorable. She did a great job presenting and balancing historical details with fun facts and good jokes. Mevhibe recommended the best dishes at dinner, the best spot for authentic and well priced souvenirs, and most importantly, she was wonderful company! After my small taste of Istanbul I know I have to come back - and I’ll be sure to book a longer tour with this organization! The best part of the tour was Mev. If you book, ask for her as your tour guide! You won’t regret it!

My husband and I booked the tour with Istanbul Layover Tour the last min after our flight was canceled. Latif responded to us promptly with details of the tour that he could offer. We were an hour late due to delays at immigration, he waited for us patiently. He spoke very fluent English with much knowledge of Istanbul. I told him briefly what we expected, he spent 10 hours with us fulfilling all that we had asked for. On top of the sightseeing and visits to popular places, we managed to shop at the bazaar, rode on public transportation, ate street foods and tried traditional Turkish foods in a family restaurant. Latif made this customized day tour so personal, unique and memorable.
