We were picked up from the airport at 630am, and by 8am we were at the city. Burak, our guide was very accommodating and brought us to all the places that I wanted to visit, even Galata Tower, which Latif (the person i corresponded with) told me might not be possible as it is quite far. Sadly, the Grand Bazaar was closed for Eid Mubarak. In just a little bit over 4 hours, we took a short cruise across the sea, went to Gulhane Tulips Garden, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Byzantine Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, took the underwater tram to Galata Tower and had lunch around Galata area. Burak was quite informative and speaks good English. It was worth every dime taking this private tour during our layover in Istanbul! Will definitely use this tour operator again on my next trip! Tip: Start early morning to avoid the crowd^-^

We had a long layover in Istanbul, and so I wanted to show my family a glimpse of the city I fell in love with in 2017. This tour company exceeded my expectations and made the experience easy for me from a planning point of view -- whether it be working with me in advance to tailor and tweak the itinerary, giving me very detailed instructions on where the link-up with the driver would be, giving us an easy-going tour guide with great knowledge and a phenomenal command of English, communicating with the restaurant about my son's severe food allergies, or adjusting the itinerary because of Ramadan and a visit from Turkey's President, this tour company did a great job of ensuring my family had memories of Istanbul as wonderful as I do. The next time I have a long layover in Istanbul, I'll reach out to these folks first. Thanks!

Flying in for one day, I needed a bit of hand holding on my first solo trip to this busy city and Burak definitely took great care of me. We visited all the sites together, he was my own personal photographer and my dinner companion. He helped me negotiate better prices and ensured my Turkish bath experience was safe and genuine. Driver was on time and drive safely. The only thing I wish we better was my greeting at the airport. Greeters were on their phone the entire time and barely spoke to me. But the driver and actual guide were top notch. The company also reached out to me several times to notify me my hotel was too far and saved me from a super long commute. Definitely recommend. Money well spent.

We had a great layover tour. I wasn't sure what to expect. We were happily surprised by how easy the whole process was. We received plenty of instructions for leaving our bags and locating the driver at the airport. Things went perfectly. Once we got into the city, we were met by the greatest tour guide ever. Miev was awesome!! She was friendly and made sure we saw all the things we wanted to. Thank you for making our afternoon in Istanbul a wonderful memory.

I particularly loved my guide Mev who tailored the experience to my interests. She was knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, punctual and engaging. What a terrific two-day layover in Istanbul. A friend highly recommended Istanbul Layover Tours. I was able to book a private tour with Mev for a day and a half. The tour included a transfer to and from the airport to my hotel - which was a bonus. It was easy to find the meet up place for the transfer at the airport. Mev met me at my hotel, and we set off for a walking tour of the Asian side including a late lunch and great ferry ride. The full day tour the next day was great as well. We visited the old city including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar. The weather was perfect, and it was not crowded at all. She shared architectural history and knew great places for traditional Turkish food. It was like touring the city with a friend. Latif was very responsive during the booking process. There are many layover tours available in Istanbul. Look no further. I would use them again.

Great experience for a layover! It was easy to find the meeting spot and the ride into the city was very comfortable. Our tour guide, Mev, was amazing! She gave us all kinds of insight about not only the history of the sites but the present day dynamics as well. She had a great attitude and was good fun! Definitely would recommend and, in particular, recommend Mev!

I visited Istanbul on 9 February and Ekrem was my guide. He was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. We visited many places despite the short layover, and I had covered all the places I wanted to. Ekrem was a great photographer as well and he managed to take some amazing photos for me. Latif had also communicated with me via WhatsApp and was very responsive to my queries before the trip. Our tour was excellent, great food, friendly laid back guide. Took care of car, ferry and trains so we could get around easily. Was very flexible showing us around to try different foods. It was a perfect way to spend a long layover. We only wish we had more time to spend.

Transfers to and from airport and touring all went seamlessly! Latif was an excellent guide full of knowledge and we got some excellent photos! I now need to plan a trip to Turkey after seeing the beauty of Istanbul!

Our guide Latif was very friendly and knowledgeable about his city and his love for showing his city shone brightly through the way he tailored his tour material to engage us. Being that it was the heart of winter We were very cold but we were also very happy and comfortable on the tour. He found us the perfect place to eat as a group of 8 vegetarians. He went at our pace and was very concerned not to push us or make us tire out. We are all very happy that we took this tour with layover tour and got Latif to guide us in Istanbul

Had a relatively short amount of time to see the Basilica Cisterns and cross the Bosphorus. Our guide was great and helped us navigate, including with our stroller and 18 month old! Would definitely recommend if you are time limited and want to see some of Istanbul during your layover.

I highly recommend this layover tour of Istanbul. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and was so helpful in every way. The communication was very clear. They got us back to the airport in a timely manner to make our connection.

We had a 15 hour layover in Istanbul and instead of going with the free Turkish airline tour, we booked this trip. I’m so glad we did this since I had two young boys with me and wanted to have a good time. A nice van pick us up right away from the airport. Latif took us to a great restaurant, give us great tours of the mosques and the Grand Bazaar, and even made sure to walk with us to our hotel and see to it that we got checked in. We had a lot of nice conversations and it was just nice to have a friend- like person who knew exactly what to do in a historic city we’ve never been to. Highly recommend booking Latif!

I had a 7 and half hour layover in Istanbul and was initially very hesitant as I am traveling alone and there wasn’t much time. But I am glad I booked the tour with Latf. For the time we had, I was able to see some of the historic spots and learnt some of the history behind it. I overall enjoyed the trip and also felt very safe. I recommend these guided tours!
