The bus ride to Ha Long Bay is about two hours and you stop near the harbor to learn how pearls are made. We thought it was a cool addition to see in action the process of making pearls. Next we got on the Dragonfly boat cruise. On the boat, we had lunch which was an assortment of seafood dishes and some meat dishes. It was very good! Unfortunately, the day we went the weather was a bit cloudy, but still had amazing views of Ha Long Bay. Also got on a bamboo boat instead of a kayak. Our boat driver was great. He took lots of photos of us and was a great whistler. Lastly, we stopped at Dau Go Cave! The cave was amazing and we are so glad we got to see it. Our tour guide, Robert, was great. He spoke English well and even gave us tips on things to do in Hanoi. Highly recommend this tour for your first time in Hanoi.
