We enjoyed the spectacular views of Ha Long Bay and kayaking. We were lucky to have Robert, our tour guide, with us. He was informative, thoughtful and made our experience extra special. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Hai/Robert was o great guide, enough information to be interesting, without being boring or over the top. We were picked up in Hanoi by private van (7 people), 2.25 hour drive to Ha Long Bay. Water supplied. (Maybe pack some snacks if you’ve missed breakfast like me…). Lunch was enormous. Good range of drinks on the boat, but not very chilled. Soft drinks and wine. Kayaking and cave visit included. Cave can get slippery, so good footwear is useful (I was in thongs/flip flops which was just OK). Altogether about 8 hours, including driving. Wifi supplied for whole trip.

This was an unforgettable trip for my mom and I!!! Robert was one of the best guides I’ve ever toured with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring helping me with caring for my elderly mom. This was definitely a dream come true for me having Ha along bay on my list for awhile now. What a great experience. The name is exactly as advertised. We were picked up eighth on time by our personal tour guide Robert. Along the way, Robert was very kind and gave us tips and told stories about Hanoi. We were driven in a private taxi to Ha Long bay, visited a pearl production museum, and then onward to Ha Long bay. You may read that Ha Long bay can be a bit touristy, but as soon as we left the marina, we did not feel this at all. A little bit to our surprised, the boat itself was completely private, with a captain, chef, deck hand, and Robert. We were prepared a great lunch, and then went to a floating village where we did kayaking. This brought us through caves, in some beautiful completely enclosed lagoons (not another tourist in sight). Then we continued on to a cave system called Dong Thien Cung. Didn’t know what to expect but it was one of the most amazing things I’ve seen. Overall, everyone was so kind along the way and I recommend to any group that wants a private excursion.

We got picked up from our hotel in Hanoi by our amazing guide Robert who drove us to Ha Long Bay and who was full of very interesting facts about Hanoi and Vietnamese culture. He took us to a pearl museum as an extra (and super cool) stop on the way, and then we arrived in Ha Long Bay and boarded our private boat. We had a delicious meal, then boated out to a floating fishing village where we kayaked in a beautiful, peaceful area where we were the only tourists. We then saw Dong Thiên Cung cave, which was spectacular, and had a peaceful boat ride and ride back our hotel. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing Robert’s tour was - he was so knowledgeable and friendly, offered us some great tips for the remainder of our Hanoi trip, and even lent us cash because we forgot ours on the boat trip. I would highly recommend doing this tour with Robert, my brother and I had an unforgettable day!

I researched Ha Long Bay day trips extensively. My husband and I wanted a private tour. I chose Robert with Love Vietnam Travel due to his outstanding reviews. This trip exceeded our expectations. It’s difficult to describe the natural beauty of thebay. On our trip, we experienced cloudy skies, pouring rain, mist, and back to warm beautiful clouds. All added to the mystic magical beauty of Ha Long Bay. The boat was beautiful, large (we felt indulgent), and well maintained. The “delicious seafood lunch” was a magnificent fresh and delicious feast. The private car was clean and comfortable. The highway completed in 2018 made for a fast and comfortable ride. Finally, Robert is a diamond, his English is perfect, his knowledge of the bay and all of Vietnam is extensive. His easy going and natural interactions are rare for anyone but especially a guide. I cannot say enough about Robert. He is fabulous. Overall, I recommend this trip 100%.

We have used a lot of guides on both national and international trips and I have to say that Robert is the best guide we have ever had the privilege of engaging. He was politely informative about both the history of Vietnam and the present state of affairs. He was constantly, and unobtrusively, checking in on us and informing us of our surroundings. The Ha Long bay experience was fabulous and I did not realize that a private experience meant an exceptional meal and a boat ride on a boat that measured over twenty meters and it was only my wife, myself, and the crew. In addition, Robert provided us by with lots of supplemental information about Hanoi, its history, the “must see” sights and the local food scene. The entire day felt both “high end” and totally worth the cost. I would would rank this as an A+ day. I hope this was helpful.

We took a tour to Ha Long bay with Robert. He’s very knowledgable of the history and the area of Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and Vietnam in general. He made sure we were comfortable at all times. The tour provided a delicious lunch, kayaking at a beautiful site and a visit to caves. I highly recommend taking this one-day tour.
