Great tour despite the heavy, slow moving, horn honking city traffic!!! But even while we were stopped in traffic, our guide kept talking and educating us about Calcutta, and it’s long history. Well worth our time!

Before starting the tour we were able to make some requests to the itinerary based on our plans for the next day and this flexibility was very helpful. Towards the end of the tour, we loved that the guide suggested visiting a famous local sweet tour as a last stop. The sweets were so good! If you are visiting Kolkata you should take this tour!We booked a private 2 day tour with tourHQ and chose Bratati Saha as our guide with chauffeur. We booked a private 2 day tour with tourHQ and chose Bratati Saha as our guide with chauffeur. She proposed the places to visit which we modified to include some less conventional locations. We were so impressed by her adaptability to our needs and her negotiatian skills to enter some places not open to the public. We saw many different sides of life in the city of Joy. She even succeeded to get the cemetery staff to locate an 1885 grave when the service was closed and organised the planting of roses at the appropriate time with the cemetery gardener. It was an experience that we will remember all our life and we are so grateful.
