Flooding and drying seasonally, this soda lake is home to thousands of flamingo and over 500 other bird species. On our exploration of the park we see monkey, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes, not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania covering an astounding 15, 000 kms squared with diverse landscapes and habitats such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountain. Here the great migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope takes place and, depending on the season, we may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water.

This entire day is set aside for game drives upon the Serengeti. The Serengeti, the habitat of an abundance of wildlife such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. In November and December the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, we may have the opportunity to see the resident predators, leopard, cheetah, and lion, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
After an unforgettable day, we will return to our accommodation for relaxation, dinner and our overnight sleep on The Endless Plain

When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps. The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago.
The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. We had a fantastic safari experience. Background: we were a group of 3 (myself, my wife and a close friend) who did this safari in August last week of 2022. Some specifics: 0. Pre arrival information - everything was informed in advance and the communication was good. All our queries were addressed. In fact one of our group members had to cancel due to an unforeseen circumstance 15 days before the trip - the agency made a genuine attempt to refund as much as possible with the lodges etc. and they were able to get most of it back. 1. Sightings - we were able to see all of the Big 5 and a lot more animals in their natural habitats and interesting scenarios (lion cubs, crocs feeding on hippos, cheetahs having an early morning kill and eating it). Abu was good at navigating to the right places especially in Serengeti and giving us enough time to explore the specific sighting. 2. Excellent hospitality - the way the food was presented, quality of food was good considering we were in the middle of the jungle. Abu was very friendly and courteous. 3. Guide knowledge - Abu had the knowledge of all the species and their features such as difference between males/females, how different animals interact, migrate etc. He would also make it a point to follow up on any question he didn’t know immediately in the next game drive. 4. Stay facilities: the facilities were overall clean and spacious. The staff at all the lodges were very courteous. Kudos to the food at the Rhino Lodge!! Overall very good experience and highly recommended. Special shout out to Abu - our guide for a wonderful safari experience. We spent 8 days with our guide Saleh from Lion King on a Safari Tour through beautiful Tansania. We spent 8 days with our guide Saleh from Lion King on a Safari Tour through beautiful Tansania. The time we had on our honeymoon will be unforgettable and we gained extraordinary experiences of wildlife, Tanzanian culture and hospitality. We enjoyed every moment together with our guide Saleh. He was very professional, had great knowledge about wildlife, plants and culture. He constantly pointed out animals we would have never discovered without him. Saleh shared his personal experience about all questions we had. He was very helpful, kind and simply a fun person to be around! He was driving carefully and we felt safe at all times. Lion King uses Toyota Land Cruisers which you can widely see being used in Tansania for safaris. The vehicle was cleaned (inside and outside) after every day’s safari. The great amount spent in the car was comfortable which we had not expected. The planning and booking process prior to our trip was individual and professional. Lion King managed to craft a schedule according to our own wishes. Prompt and reliable communication comprehended all information we needed in order to be prepared. All accommodations exceeded our expectations and were well selected by Lion King. Overall, we had an unforgettable experience and can recommend Lion King 100% for a safari tour in Tansania! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special!Lionking top notch from start to finish. Lionking top notch from start to finish. Pendo was our email liaison whose timely responses to numerous questions and clarifications set us at ease well before landing at Kilimanjaro. Once through customs we were met by our cheerful guide, Gilbert. He quickly assumed multiple roles as translator, docent, professor, expert driver on the winding washboard roads, and colleague. His ability to spot game nestled deep inside the grasses and trees of the savanna left us in awe. With binoculars and his guidance we eventually saw animals that otherwise would have remained missing from our now enormous photo stream. Ask for him by name. The entire trip was stress free, unimaginably invigorating, and will take many weeks to fully process. Prior to booking we read all the reviews and now having “been there, done that” fully concur with each of the five stars awarded by those who came before us.A fabulous experience from the Lion King Adventures team. A fabulous experience from the Lion King Adventures team. One of the most important things that you have to know about them is that they offer an excellent service, you will not be disappointed. Nick and Pendo helped a lot in building the itinerary at the beginning and arranged everything before the start of the Safari. They helped us in making the right choices for the lodges and adapted the schedule to our needs. MOst of the companies are not so flexbile and they work on the "take it or leave it principle" whereas Lion King really wanted to listen and fulfill our needs. Great job! Once we had that sorted out and we started the Safari, Abu (our guide) took the lead and he was as fantastic as Nick and Pendo. Again, very flexible, knowledgeable, he told us tons of stories about animals, safari or the history of Tanzania, really a joy to talk to him. He helped us with spotting the animals or the birds as well which made our life way easier. This guy was awesome! As we took also a 1 day hike on Kilimanjaro we had the opportunity to meet with Saladini (our mountain guide and for sure our lead for the Kili trip) and again, a great person. Very knowledgeable, he shared tons of info about the mountain, how to climb Kili and about flora and fauna, we learned so much from him as well. Overall these people are fantastic! They try to satisfy all your requirements while keeping a good margin for them as well, the guides are giving 200% in sharing the knowledge and making sure you feel great during the journey from every aspect from driving, guiding to adapting the schedule when it's needed and always being flexible. I have rarely had such a good and pro service from a company and I have rarely seen so many dedicated people in one place. Congrats to James, the owner of the company to whom we gave one advice:Keep these people together! Lastly: - the car is well-equipped for the Safari and comfortable - the food offered by Lion King during the safari is more than sandwiches, you get real hot meals, coffee, tea, water, beer - the lodges have a good to excellent standard of service and certainly above what I did see in other places in Tanzania - Abu washed the car almost every day, it was so spotless. We did not ask for it but we were impressed by the fact that he did this. - The only suggestion that I would make is to offer the possibility to have also 1 meal with local Tanzanian food (the food we got during the trip was very good and tasty but mostly European/US food and I was very curious to eat some Tanzanian food as well) - there is little that I can say more, just use this company to have a wonderful time while in Tanzania, I for sure will come back to do a Kilimanjaro trek with them.Deciding to travel to Africa is never an easy decision to make, especially for european foreigners. Deciding to travel to Africa is never an easy decision to make, especially for european foreigners. While I have always wanted to discover African history, culture and stunning landscapes. The risk of diseases, robbery or violent agression stories between men have kept me away of travelling there. When I finally make my mind to travel over there I had one single priority on my agenda : security. We decided to fly from Paris to Tanzania and do a safari. After reading great client reviews on tripadvisor regarding the lion king adventures company. I decided to contact them. First I got in touch with Nilson, a lion king representative, he decided to set up a call with me to clearly understand my needs. I am a banker and as such very much used to deal with customers. Nilson reassured me and his politeness and comprehensive approach of my expectations, which alos surprised me. He was showing up a very professionnal side for the lion king adventure company. Then I got in touch as well with Pendo, which I have to say was very professionnal too. While I was very busy at work and not very focus on planning the trip. She helped me by answering clearly and remaining available each time I ask her questions. Thank you both for your professionnal service, that made us confortable and reassure us to choose to work with the Lion king adventure. When we arrived in Tanzania for our 6 days trip, we were welcomed by our guide and driver. After reading client reviews, I noticed that the name of a french and english speaking guide was mentionned several times, his name was Khalifa. I asked Nilson if it was possible to have Khalifa as guide. A safari can be perceived as an expensive travel and if you decide to gor for it you want the best. We had a 6 days safaris trip and thanks to Kalhifa, the king of the safari guides and the calm, polite and safe driver, Bright, we will never forget our Safari. Khalifa knowledge of his country, customs, people and culture is impressive. But his knowledge of all local animals and plants is even more astonishing. We learned much more than expected and I must admit I have been impressed by tanzanian bio diversity and stories. I cannot recommend enough Khalifa as a guide. Thanks to Khalifa incredible vision in the savanah, we are forunate enough to see the rare 6 during our short trip ( Lion, Leopard, Guepard, Rhino, Elephant and Hippo). We realised this was not an easy to see them all especially when discussing with other tourist travelling witv others guides. I also want to thank Bright for his endurance and kindness, driving in Tanzania is not something you should apprehend it because of the difficult roads. Bright made it safe and secure thanks to his endurance and safe driving skills. Overall we especially want to thank both Bright and Khalifa for making sure we saw the best side of Tanzania. They both are the pride of Tanzania. I was also delighted to share feedback with the lion kind adventures manager James at the end of the safari. This again also the great professionalism of the company. No doubt that thanks to these members the lion king adventure will continue to live long and make the travellers dreams become a reality ! Vive la Tanzanie ! 🇹🇿🦁🦓🦏🐘🦒🇹🇿I and my wife enjoyed the whole safari trip. It was for celebrating 10years of our loving and blissful marriage. I and my wife enjoyed the whole safari trip. It was for celebrating 10years of our loving and blissful marriage. Right from the start, when I first made enquiries, Nick from Lionking Adventures, was very helpful and patient with me, you know when dealing with someone from the 1st time, you will be skeptical about a lot but from all the TO's I enquired with, Nick was very humble, and answered all questions I had and I managed negotiate a very good offer, which they accepted. I even negotiated my terms to which they agreed and made me very comfortable dealing with Lionking Adventures. Lionking was amazing, I told them my type of food and drinks and they provided that through the whole trip. Arrived in Arusha and Ozzy, from Lionking was waiting for us, he welcomed us and also assisted us in taking us to the burea de change to get some shillings, he also assisted us in registering our Airtel sim card lines and got the best network with data that would be very sufficient for the whole trip. Slept at Mrimba Palm lodges, the accommodation is very good. Next day, we flew to Seronera. The Private Mid Range Safari Started the Safari trip from Serengeti with one of the best guides we have ever seen, Richard, we called him King Richie. The guide is amazing, has a very friendly welcoming character and also he was very knowledgeable about the animals behaviours and how the animals communicate. He goes beyond just spotting animals to explain some scientific proven behaviors of the animal. He would not just stop and go, willy nilly, he knew exactly what we wanted, to view the animals and have the best pictures. He would provide us with the best view from the jeep right there on the road, if it means reversing he would do just that. The guy was amazing. Top highlights with King Richie from Lionking Adventures. 1. Within the 1st 3hrs of the 1st day in Serengeti we had seen 3 different prides of lions, a total of 17 lions at very close range. 2. Sameday,we saw a leopard and cheetah. 3. Next day was even way better, we named it 'The Killing Day, because we saw, cheetahs enjoying a fresh buck meat it had caught and we also saw a group of lions enjoying a fresh warthog. 4. We saw all the big 5, 4 at very close range, elephants, leopard, lion, buffalos and the rhino was a bit far, we brought it closer with help of the binoculars which Lionking Provided. 5. The amazing food, packed lunch, there was no difference even if we had buffet at the lodge. Lionking was amazing. 6. We saw 3 leopards in Serengeti, how about that, thanks to King Richie, 7. In times of covid, King Richie would sanitise our hands everyday and also we were very cautious ourselves as well. In a nutshell, for the best safari and being our 1st time in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara, we would like to say we received an A service from Lionking Adventures and our amazing guide King Richie was exceptional. His English has a British accent and you wouldn't struggle etall to understand, we communicated very well. And we learnt a lot of Swahili words. Our next trip back to Tanzania, would be at King Richie's wedding, yes next year 2022,we will be here!!!! Asante Sana!!!
