Stop At: Big Buddha Phuket, Soi Yot Sane 1, Chaofa West Road, Chalong, Phuket Town, Phuket 83100 Thailand
Big Buddha Phuket is a 45-meter-tall white marble statue visible from anywhere in the southern part of Phuket. It is probably at the top of everyone’s ‘Must-Do in Phuket‘, and for a good reason. The views from up there are breathtaking. The statue is built with people’s donation and is still under construction. If you feel like doing something to help to finish the broad base of the Buddha
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 70 Moo 6 Chao Fah Tawan Tok Road, Chalong, Phuket Town, Phuket 83000 Thailand
many temples found on Phuket island, the Wat Chalong temple is the largest and most revered. The temple complex was built in its current location in 1837. Some remains of older structures have been found, however it is unknown exactly how old they are. The large grounds of Wat Chalong that is officially named Wat Chaitararam contains a viharn, a mondop, a ubosot, a chedi containing a secret relic, a sala and a crematorium.

Stop At: Big Bee Farm, 50/6 Moo 2 Chao-Fa East Rd. Wichit Subdistrict, Phuket Town, Phuket 83000 Thailand
This place was pretty awesome. We were able to see bees working up close and some were able to lift the honey trees and have a closer look to them (handle at own risk) but was definitely an experience. They do have a store where you can buy honey and some other bee and pollen products
Duration: 30 minutes

Sino-Portuguese architecture, also known as Chinese Baroque, Straits eclectic architecture, or simply, Peranakan house is an Asian hybrid architecture style incorporating Chinese and the Portuguese architectural styles.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Phuket, Phuket
Phuket is well-known as a producer of delicious cashew nuts, and anyone who enjoys eating them might very much enjoy a tour of the Phuket Cashew Nut Factory. This is definately one of the most unique Phuket attractions. Although one might not think so, the process of taking cashews from raw to ready-to-eat is quite a production, with a great many steps involved. At the factory, guests will learn how cashews are made and things like how to tell the difference between high quality and low quality cashews

The tour was good value for the money, however it should have more information shared, better english speaking and pronunciation. The guide was fun but to rate 5 stars I would need have all mentioned things better.

With all the 4 and 5 bullet ratings and being recommended by TripAdvisor as a bestseller, we thought we couldn’t go wrong with this tour. Our hotel was just north of Phuket airport so a bit out of the way, meaning we had to pay a little extra for pickup which was fine. Our driver was early (before 11:30 for the 13:00 tour), but hey, with most tours you end up waiting so this was a good start. After 2.5 hours in the van, picking up people from hotels, dropping some off again at other places (5 stops total) the tour hadn’t even started! The tour guide got on board (we had to ask if he was the tour guide, because he didn’t have us any clue until about another half an hour later when we finally made our way to the first stop. The guy named himself James (Bond) and was useless as a tour guide. He was laying low in the passenger seat and upon approaching each stop he would hold op a pocket size folder with stamp-size pictures of what we were going to visit (none of the group could make out what he was saying, let alone see the tiny picture). That was all he did... while disappearing at soms stops to get back on at another. So this could be bad luck on still a great tour but it wasn’t. It seems a good deal at first. It is relatively cheap and it states all entrance fees of the attractions are included. That is correct, because they’re all free. It says you get a bottle of water. Also correct, although you don’t get until hours into the tour. After 2.5 hrs, James Bond suggested we got out of the van during the pickup of other guests to buy ourselves some water, and we did. We had just about finished those by the time he came up with small water bottles. Almost every stop of the tour is a tourist trap. The cashew nut factory (we had 10 minutes to spend there, no information given at all), the bee farm, even the “coffee break” were nothing more than attempts to get us to buy nuts, honey and jewelry. The good news: if you look at what we payed by the hour we had an excellent deal. The tour is to last for 5 hours. We left our hotel at 11:30 and were back by 21:30. While our hotel was a bit further from Phuket Central, allow 1 hour each way, that still means a heck of a long day. Especially considered that every stop was much shorter than advertised, with no info whatsoever just “go out” and “get back”. TripAdvisor should really reconsider recommending tours like this without proper checks, and we really wonder how this tour company could get so many positive reviews while performing so poorly. Phuket Shanti Travel scored below par. Way below par. Will opt for more expensive options through GetYourGuide or elsewhere next time. This tour takes you to about 7 different locations throughout the island. Some off the beaten path type places that I didn’t even think about visiting. It was so worth it and the tour guide was very energetic and friendly!!
