Stop At: Tromso, Tromso, Troms, Northern Norway
Begin your evening tour in search of the Northern Lights with a convenient pickup from city center of Tromsø.. You'll embark on a nighttime hunt for the sometimes elusive Aurora Borealis. Although Norwegian nights are cold and it can take up to several hours to see the colorful light show, the wait is worth it. You're provided with a thermal suit, a snow-side bonfire, and hot drinks and snacks to keep warm along the way.
Your 8-passenger tour vehicle takes you deep into the darkness with a small group and a professional photographer as your guide. In addition to snapping your own photos, your guide will take pictures of you under the lights and be of assistance to help with your own equipment, including provided tripods; a Canon is available for a fee. Professional photos taken during the tour are later sent to you via email or social media.
After a stop for dinner, your 7-hour tour ends with hotel drop-off in Tromsø after midnight.

Amazing experience under the stars of Tromso. Andrei is a wonderful guide, photographer and storyteller. We managed to see the Aurora Borealis twice in the same night, although it seemed pretty shy at the beginning. Nothing but a glowing recommendation for the team at Enjoy the Arctic, and we hope to see Andrei and his colleagues next time we return. When we decided to go to Tromso, we knew that we needed the help of the best Aurora hunter, since I had been dreaming for so long to see these magnificent lights and I was not going to miss this chance. When we decided to go to Tromso, we knew that we needed the help of the best Aurora hunter, since I had been dreaming for so long to see these magnificent lights and I was not going to miss this chance. We completely trusted the guys from Enjoy the Arctic even from the beginning when we were seeing just a baby Aurora. But in few hour she became first a cute teenager and finally a wonderful adult Aurora. Therefore, we strongly recommend Enjoy the Arctic as the most suitable to help anybody to fulfill the dream to see the Northern Lights. If we ever want to go back to Tromso to see them again we will definitely contact them for help.Amazing experience! Fully recommend this Minibus-Tour with Enjoy The Arctic! Very flexible in chasing the best conditions, great explanations, camp fire, tee, cake and wonderful pictures that we got the next day! Thank you so much! A dream came true!

Things you need for this trip, enthusiasm, warm clothes (including thermal under layers), drinking water (you're out a long time chasing) to be prepared for 1 toilet stop?! These trips can last 6 hours minimum on a good chase. All participants were asked to meet outside , the Magic Ice bar, where all the various chase tours were departing from (there are a lot of trips going out with various companies) The group we shared our chase with were really good and prepared to do what we needed to find a display of lights. We had a couple of misfires, in that the lights showed very briefly in a very cloudy, snowy sky, but Vlad was prepared to move on to search anew and we were enthusiastic to join him. It was a really snowy night. The snow was so heavy at times driving visibility was very reduced, and snow ploughs slowed some of our journey. After approx a couple of hours, we eventually crossed the border into Finland, but finding a good clear sky and a suitable place to park up wasn't quite so easy.... Vlad (who I should've said was also our driver) found a small single track off the main road, which was an excellent spot and too narrow for the many big coaches to access and spoil the light (or dark?!) It was freezing. There was a wicked wind blowing across what seemed to be a frozen lake next to the track, but the site was ideal, the clouds broke and the lights showed for us, and what a show they put on, it was magical, beautiful, awe-inspiring, a true bucket-list dream..... Vlad was sooo excited, it was like Christmas Day with a young child 😄, it only served to add to everyone's enjoyment of the night. He took over 30 fabulous photos, many with all of the trip participants in and some without; all of which have been shared by email with the participants, so we all have any photos we managed to take as well as fantastically good photographs taken by Vlad. He lit a small campfire, provided small stools of anyone wanted to sit around the fire, but it was so cold, I think we all gave up sitting to keep moving around, apart from which the light show was so mobile, vibrant dancing in front of us, above us behind us, we just had to keep moving to watch them. Vlad provided hot coffee or fruit tea (which was lovely, hot and refreshing). He then gave us all cake for a snack, which seemed a little odd, but bearing in mind the temperature, your blood sugar drops really quickly as both my husband and I are T2 diabetics the cake was really helpful. Finger tips froze really quickly whilst trying to take photos. It was a long but oh so memorable night, depositing us back at our hotel about 2.15 . We would definitely recommend 'Enjoy the Arctic' minibus trip to chase the lights...... it just makes us smile when we think about the trip. It was amazing, a true privilege.
