Day 1: Surabaya – Malang Area
Stop At: Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia
- Pick-up from Juanda International Airport /Hotel in Surabaya at about 9:30am – 11am.
Duration: 12 hours
Stop At: Malang, Malang City, East Java, Indonesia
, - Travel to Malang City for about 1.5 – 2 hours.
- Visit Kampung Warna Warni – Visit the different murals of varying colors to brighten up the neighbourhood.
- Drive to Museum Angkut, the largest museum , 3.5hrs, in Southeast Asia. Make your way through eight exhibition zones, from the main hall where a collection of legendary vehicles are grandly displayed; to the educational hall where the the history of transportation is visualised;
- And even the Euro zone where cars from their respective countries are displayed – including a range rover once used by the Queen of England!
- Outside the museum it is Pasar Apung, which is like a floating market where an assortment of delicacies are sold.

Day 2: Malang Area – Bromo Area
Stop At: Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Lumajang 67374 Indonesia
- Rise and shine to breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit Gunung Banyak , Batu to enjoy the breathe taking view of Malang City. Paragliding activities are available here. Check out the video below on it. Price is about $50/pax for the paragliding and is excluded from this package.
- Have lunch
- If time permits, you can go to Tempuk Sewu waterfall about 3 hours from Malang. You can also go to Apple Farm in the afternoon or go for Japanese Hot Spring in Malang.
- Free and easy in the afternoon.
- Have dinner and rest for the night.
- Get ready for checkout at 11pm to head to Mount Bromo.

Day 3: Mount Bromo Area – Kawah Ijen
Stop At: Mount Bromo, Mt Bromo, Area Gn. Bromo, Podokoyo, Tosari, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, Indonesia
- Hop on 4WD jeep to view the spectacular sunrise from prime viewing spot, Penanjakan, at 2:30am.
- Soak in the beautiful sunrise, then continue by 4WD jeep to Hill of Love for a photoshoot.
- Travel by 4WD jeep through the Sea of Sand and head towards Mount Bromo Crater.
- At the crater, you can go by foot or rent a horse/pony for about 20 minutes. Climb up stairs for 10-15 mins to reach the rim of Mount Bromo Crater.
- Head back to Bromo hotel. Have breakfast at hotel or surrounding area.
- Depart for Songa Rafting Pekalen. Here you can try white water rafting in the rivers of Mount Bromo. It can be 2–3 hours but prices vary and is excluded from this package. The estimated price is $45/pax with a minimum of 4 pax.

Day 4: Kawah Ijen (Blue Fire Program) – Surabaya
Stop At: Ijen Crater, Banyuwangi 68454 Indonesia
- Checkout around 12:00 am and travel to Paltuding area with breakfast on-the-go. Local Ijen tour guide is included in this package.
- Reach Paltuding permit post at approximately 2 am, before hiking to Kawah Ijen.
- At the peak, we will be able to see the famous Blue Flame Sulphur of Ijen. As the Blue Flames are dependent on the moon light and rain, sightings are subject to suitable weather. As with other natural phenomena, sightings cannot be guaranteed but we will bring you to the best view point.
- At the break of dawn, if weather permits and it is deemed safe to do so by the authorities, you can walk down to the rim of the Ijen Lake. You can enjoy the morning lake view of Ijen and walk back to Kawah Ijen before returning to Paltuding.
- Road trip 5-6 hours back to Surabaya city. You will reach Surabaya approximately at 6-7pm.

Amazing experience, highly recommend! Day 1, we started off going to Madakaripura Waterfall and spent a fantastic day walking around the waterfalls. We traveled by van but took an awesome motorbike ride to the short walk. Make sure to bring a poncho and secure shoes to walk in that are waterproof. Stayed at Atria which was a decent stay. Day 2 we woke up very early to visit Tumpak Sewu Waterfall which was absolutely magnificent! We were greeted by a beautiful rainbow hovering by the falls. Highly recommend wearing clothing that can get completely soaked and a plastic bag for your phone. This hike was really fun but requires good water shoes or hiking shoes that can get soaked. We also checked out the caves! Stayed at bromo hotel which was not the best but we only stayed for 3 hrs. Day 3 woke up again very early to see mount bromo. It was very cold so bring lots of warm layers, we ended up buying the toques they offered which were quite warm and great souvenir! The view was pretty cloudy but the sunrise above the clouds was still awesome! We took a jeep to the sea of sand and rode some horses to the crater of the volcano. Stayed at el hotel royale which was definitely the best hotel! Day 4 went to see Ijen and it was a very dark hike and quite difficult to see in the dark. We had to wear gas masks as the sulphur burns. Not our most favourite part of the trip but the hike coming down the other side was magneficient seeing the green lush mountains. Overall an amazing trip and so glad we took it! Sherry the coordinator was super helpful throughout the process. All our guides across the activities were really helpful and so wonderful to connect with. Thank you again to Yayak our driver for making this trip so special! He introduced us to so many Indonesia snacks and food and transported us safely every day! Thank you for your jokes and we will miss you dearly!Janlovestravellin

Local tour guide Rama was great and everything scheduled was satisfactory overall. However, should you be looking for a Milky Way tour just like I did, do not go in October. Only go in June / July. I went over on recommendation from Tour Mount Bromo Singapore that October is not a rainy season, however, it turned out that it was raining & the fog was so thick that seeing the Milky Way was impossible, so the money paid for the tour was wasted as we stayed in the hotel instead and didn’t even go up the mountains. Photographing Mount Bromo / seeing the sunrise was impossible too as from king kong hill, everything was shrouded in fog. I just wished that Tour Mount Bromo could have better advised us. 4 points because of the lovely local tour guide.leafphotopro

This is not your conventional tour where you travel with huge groups. You are practically travelling alone with whoever you bring along and the guide. This makes your experience much more personal and heartfelt. You have the power to decide the time to cater to your needs. In other words, time is flexible so that you can really enjoy and make use of your time to experience the sceneries without the need to rush for time unlike a conventional tour. Back in Singapore, contacting Tour Mount Bromo (TMB) team via WhatsApp was quite a smooth journey and convenient. Sherry was very patient in answering to my never-ending inquiries and doubts. Agung, the representative of TMB Indonesia, also assured that if I had any issues I could reach out to him. I travelled with my parents for this trip. Hadi was the person we spent most of the time with. He was our driver and tour guide for Bromo. He is very approachable and easy to communicate with. He is also cohesive in time planning and honest in giving suggestions and recommendations. He is very professional and lets us take our time The tour guides he engaged us with for Tumpak Sewu and Kawah Ijen were also remarkable and understanding. Tips for future travellers considering to embark on this journey. Be prepared for long car rides as East Java is huge and travelling time could take awhile, traffic jams making it worse. Use the time to catch up on your sleep and also talk to the driver! Nothing beats deep and thoughtful conversations. Tumpak Sewu hike is not for the faint-hearted. It requires stamina and confidence in navigating through the slippery terrain. Fret not, the guide will be there to help you. The view is totally it! If my mid-50s parents could do it, so can you! Just wear waterproof, non-slippery footwear and you are good to go. We opted for Milky Way package for Bromo and it was a breathtaking experience. Imagine you are in the middle of the sea of sand in pitch black darkness surrounded by blanket of stars above you. I was in awe and speechless for the first few moments. Yes, you can see the stars with your naked eyes but in order to capture that moment digitally you have to use a proper camera. Then, we proceed with the sunrise viewing. Unfortunately, we did not go to Madakaripura waterfall as we were already exhausted by then and time is of the essence for us to make our way to Banyuwangi, Kawah Ijen area. I hiked Kawah Ijen alone with the guide as my parents were still too tired. The trek pavement is actually better than I anticipated. It was long but doable. The views were so stunning. You are actually surrounded with views of different mountains. Will I visit East Java again? Definitely! I actually recommend to go for a week or more to really explore the region as Indonesia is full of wonders and also to have ample time to rest as 4 days felt a bit tiring and rushed.Vernvern82
