We lucked out and had the tour all to ourselves. Our guide was amazing! She mixed in a little history with the food and drinks and really showed us some of the best food in Munich! You can tell that she loves her job because she brought the best energy to the tour. We loved her so much that we have two more tours scheduled with her this week. Definitely a highlight of our visit!The tour director was extremely personable and allowed you to feel like you are getting an authentic local experience. The tour director was extremely personable and allowed you to feel like you are getting an authentic local experience. I wish I would have gone to this at the very beginning of the trip because she gives you so many good recommendations about the local restaurants based on what you are looking for, and not only provides you with local dishes, but teaches you about them. It is evident that she has made personal relationships with a lot of the restaurant employees and owners so it felt like we got an “in” and were treated a way that most people wouldn’t normally get to experience. I went solo and the tour director made me completely feel a part of the group as well as the others that were apart of the tour. I left full, buzzed, and happy so all my expectations were exceeded!I highly recommend the guide, the food and drink, and the small size of the group. Our German guide was highly educated and personable. She keeps the groups very small, allowing for a lot of time to ask questions, chat and customize orders. I highly recommend the guide, the food and drink, and the small size of the group. Our German guide was highly educated and personable. She keeps the groups very small, allowing for a lot of time to ask questions, chat and customize orders. It was me, my college age son, one other person. There is plentiful food and drink, all of good quality. I tried things l would not have tried without the background info and am glad l did In the large market, it was valuable to have a guide. She also pointed out other food business and her background info on the clock tower and May pole added to enjoyment of seeing them. When my son declined the honey wine, she got him honey gummy bears from the shop.Amazing food tour! It felt like we were spending the day exploring the city with friends. Katrina is an excellent guide and should be a stand-up comedian. We loved the food choices and discovered so many new foods. Highly recommend.
