Our local knight will meet you in the shadow of Kilkenny castle, where they will give a quick introduction and Health and safety talk before giving a unique perspective on the area and telling a bit of its history

Stop At: Tourist Information Office (Shee Alms House), Rose Inn Street, Kilkenny Ireland
We stop here at the back of the building to talk about its history.
Duration: 3 minutes
Stop At: Medieval Mile Museum, 2 St Marys Lane Off High Street, Kilkenny R95 ANW5 Ireland
We stop outside the museum to talk a bit about the history of the building and its role in Kilkennys political history.
Duration: 3 minutes
Stop At: High Street, High St, Gardens, Kilkenny, Ireland
We stop for a quick chat on the High street to talk about what it might have looked like in medieval times
Duration: 3 minutes
Pass By: Pennyfeather Lane, Pennyfeather Ln, Gardens, Kilkenny, Ireland
As we walk along the lane we discuss what life would have been like and the living conditions of medieval times.
Stop At: Saint Francis' Capuchin Friary Friary Street, Kilkenny Ireland
A quick stop to discuss the city's medieval wall's and their role.

Stop At: Talbot Tower, Lower New Street, Kilkenny Ireland
The highlight of the tour, enjoy the beauty and history of the small park surrounding the tower, while learning about the armour and weapons used by medieval knights.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Kilkenny Castle, The Parade, Kilkenny R95 YRK1 Ireland
Arriving at the gates of the castle we end the tour with a bit of history of the castle and its role in Kilkenny.

Dylan was a fantastic tour guide!!!! He arrived promptly and we set off on a fantastic tour through Kilkenny, with the perfect balance of history, humor and banter throughout. Dylan is clearly proud of being a Kilkenny local and has deep knowledge of the region and its fascinating history. My son (8 years old) loved walking around with a knight, and especially loved our stop at a medieval tower, when Dylan gave my son the opportunity to try out his sword and get a closer look at his armor. Would absolutely recommend Dylan and the Knight for Hire tour for families and history lovers of all ages!This tour was informative and fun! Even though our tour guide Dylan said he failed on his history exam, he knew everything inside and out of kilkenny, especially the road markings and the penny feathered Lane which took an interest in me. I absolutely adored his Knight outfit that he got to show us and the helmet followed on with the 3 different types of swords. The other scene which took an interest in me was when he shared the poem of hurling cats to us. I thought that was an absolute lovely poem to share amongst us while touring with him throughout certain parts of the city. I would absolutely love to go back again real soon in the summer to explore certain parts of kilkenny to visit. Thank you so very much Dylan for taking the time out with us to show us what medeveil was like back in the days.
