What to expect
The tour starts at Ted Sperling park and from the launch we begin our adventure. We start by paddling on Sarasota Bay. This shallow water bay is a great place to practice using the equipment and getting some pointers from the guides. Our tour takes us to the canals in front of the mansions on Lido Key and though they are beautiful to look at, our real goal is to spot dolphins and manatees that frequent the area. Keep your eye open for ospreys, bald eagles and cormorants--all of which are often hunting for fish. The highlight of the tour is a paddle through the windy tunnels carved into the mangroves. This unique ecosystem is home to birds, fish, seastars and crabs. Your guide will take you through the maze of mangrove tunnels, pointing out wildlife as you go. At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to the original launch site.

This was an awesome experience! We were looking forward to getting to go kayaking during our vacation. We had actually booked with another company who cancelled on us the morning of our trip (our last day in town) so we were really excited that SURFit was able to get us in the same day! The tour was amazing and our guide Orion was very personable and knowledgeable about everything we saw! We were lucky enough to see a Manatee, some flying fish and some awesome birds. It was a great experience and we would definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great kayaking experience!So much fun. Our guide Billy was wonderful and we enjoyed every minute. He was so knowledgeable about the area and even took pictures for us!
