Julia Child's favorite bookstore is also quite fittingly our first food stop.This is the store where Julia Child discovered the work of the great Ali Bab and this book inspired her to go further and learn more about the food she loved. We delve into the secrets of this historical bookstore with a hidden hostel inside.

The Chocolatier of the Kings, a 210 year-old chocolate shop.
The shop we are visiting in rue de Saint Peres opened in 1837 and it was beautifully decorated by the architects Percier and Fontaine.

This was the late night eating spot in the post war years Julia Child lived in Paris. Among the frequent guests to this establishment were Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway and of course Julia.

Around the corner from the home of Julia and Paul child this was a frequent lunch spot for Paul when he was a bureaucrat working for the American Government. You will enjoy a wine and cheese paring.

The Parisian home of Julia and Paul Child, where the cookbook was being written, the classes given and where Julia learned the art and science of the French Cuisine and her passion flourished.

What you'll see along this pedestrian-only walkway is an enchanting glimpse of how Paris looked before Emperor Napoleon III, nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte, ordered Baron Haussmann in 1852 to modernize the city.
