Stop At: Fernandes House, Chandor India
Fernandes house in Chandor village is one of the oldest remaining palacios in Goa. Occupied by Sara Fernandes and her son Rajeev. The house has a decided air of elegance. The original house, which exhibits a Hindu Influence, was built some 500 years ago. The portuguese influence is noticeable in the portion of the house constructed in 1821 by the Fernandes family. There is a salon in the first floor of the building that is used for receiving guests. What distinguishes this house from others is its occupants to escape in case of an attack.

The ambassadors worth mentioning were Panjaj, who regaled us with his stories, Jaden, who had all the specifics of the terrain na dother details, Jagrut, the curator par excellence of this unique trail in Curdi. And Cynthi, who co-ordinated it all. These are a bunch of raring to go, young people, so dedicated on their work of uncovering the little known aspects of Goa. They were mindful of the smallest details by way of comfort and constantly checking in on everyone. This aspect really didn't miss my eye. The trail itself is unique, with some very engaging people along the way...the breakfast stop at Flames run by Bina Fernandes was a lovely way to jump start the day. This wasn't my first time with Soul Travelling and certainly not the last. These guys are the true culture keepers of Goa. Kudos to themIt was one of the best tours I have ever taken. The cafe we went to was just pretty. Never have I ever seen such a pretty cafe or vibe in Mumbai ever tho being in a travel and restaurant industry. Would suggest to explore with them instead of just giving out the name of it. And our tour guide PANKAJ. HE WAS JUST AMAZING. KNOW IT ALL GUY. KNEW WHERE HE IS WALKIING, TALKING ABOUT.
