A well-organized trail showing some of the oldest houses of Goa and the heirlooms collected over several centuries. Definitely seek out Soul Traveling and their walking tours to get a taste of Goa beyond the beaches and understand that Goa has so much to offer than just beaches and shacks.

The houses covered in the tour were beautiful and filled with artefacts. It was amazing to have our guide, Jaden, a local who was super enthusiastic in telling us the stories behind each house, the architectural styles and the stories behind the history. Each house was unique and had its own character and charm. Highly recommend taking the tour!

The houses were extremely beautiful, and we got to see a side of Goa and hear stories about its interesting history that we hadn't before. One of the main purpose of visiting Goa this time was to get an understanding of its rich culture heritage. So glad we booked the "Houses of Goa" experience with Soul Travelling. The booking experience and service before the day of the tour was well-organised thanks to Kajal, Pankaj and Varun. It was truly a niche experience that helps you see both the past and the present in one frame. We visited houses that once were grandiose, but now struggle to keep up the same appearance in the passage of time. As a part of the tour we also got a glimpse of a lot of hidden secrets which was a great touch. We were also able to get the most out of this experience because of our guide Frazer, being a true local he was able to shared his wealth of knowledge with us. He did a fantastic job answering questions and also shed light on additional information relating to the discussion. Overall, it was a great experience. Even though we had a Goan-Catholic upbringing, this tour was an eye-opener to us in many aspects. The inter-religious and inter-caste elements that were introduced to us were so valuable in shaping our perspectives towards the entire Goan culture on the whole.

The whole experience in Goa's first capital was absolutely fantastic. Incredible Experience… when you take this tour, you’ll be amazed with not only the architecture & grandeur of heritage houses of Goa but also how well & in a fun engaging manner you are explained the importance of each bit. The Soul Travelling ambassador - Frazer definitely had us hooked at every point of the tour. And of course be ready for few fun questions during the tour to your way for you to scratch your head.

Stories can be told by anyone. Literally any person can just memorize lines and narrate it like a well oiled machine. But that wasn't and isn't the case with the ambassador for the day, that is Mr Frazer Andrade. If the saying "stories are as good as the people who tell them" true, then it was certainly the case today as Frazer just left me in awe with the rich knowledge that he possesses not only about Goa but also about the art and architecture of the tropical state. Not to mention the Houses starting from the Braganza house and the Fernandes house; wonderful to finally visit these places after wanting to experience them for the better part of 20 years. Wonderful trail with a lot of lovely elements and to top it off with the poha and samosa at flames was a cherry on what was a delight of a day. Thankyou soul travelling!!!!!!

It was a fantastic trip and I am really glad that we chose Soul Travelling, as the expert who conducted the tour was so good, passionate and full of exuberance, which added to the whole touring experience much value.

Being a kid I always wondered how beautiful the indo Portuguese houses must be and finally got a chance to go on a trail and experience it. It was a beautiful experience indeed. And our host Pankaj made it more exciting for us. Houses of Goa trail is one of the most beautiful trail one could experience.

A beautiful way to showcase a village that has lost its identity - I missed a few valuable places as I reached late - But Pankaj was more than welcoming to show me whatever I could in the little time I had. Nevertheless a few recommendation - The house is ancient but the aura of the place was sad - I wish a beautiful story could have been woven around the artefacts and the various important historic moments - I did not find Rajeev the right person to tell a tale of that calibre. The lighting of the house did not assist them either We were late to reach the river and I would appreciated if Pankaj would have carried a strong torch to aid our visuals of the beauty of the walk way and the coconut trees. This was my first trail and I know it's just the beginning - Overall I will give a 3.5/ 5 for this trail. The team is great and carry the value of Soul travellers to their heart. Looking forward to the next trail

Amazing tour. Our guide Frazer was very knowledgeable and well-spoken. He covers the history of Chandor and then walks you through the beautiful Braganza-Perreira Goan mansion. Definitely worth trying.

Absolutely loved our time with Frazer! His wealth of knowledge was so vast, he speaks from his passion so it’s super engaging learnt so many things I didn’t know about old houses and important building in Goa. The snack was super yummy and we even got to appreciate Frazer’s singing talent.

We had an amazing time! There were some interesting stories and off best experiences.. host was amazing and sweetly sang a local song for us! The tour ended with yummy local Goan food and some drinks.. added cherry on the top! Highly recommend this one

It was an unusual trail filled information and local stories which were engaging and entertaining. Jade was exceptionally good with his presentation. He was proactive in showing places and narrating stories .
