Stop At: Skylon Tower, 5200 Robinson St, Niagara Falls, Ontario L2G 2A2 Canada
The Skylon Tower has the best view of Niagara Falls and you can decide how you want to take advantage of being 775 feet up in the air. Choose from our Revolving Dining Room that rotates 360 degrees every hour or take our famous bug elevator up to the Observation Deck or do both. The Skylon Tower is famous for its view of Niagara Falls, River, the Toronto Skyline and Buffalo on the American side.
The Skylon Tower is one of the top attractions in Niagara Falls and a must for those who want to see a bird’s eye view of the City and the surrounding area. Bring your camera, there’s no other place you can go to where you can take a picture all around the city from one location. Day or night your visit will not be the same, the expansive skies during the day and the City lights at night ensure that no two experiences are the same. We invite you to stay a while and enjoy a Sunday brunch at the Summit Suite Buffet or enjoy our specially crafted menu at the Revolving Restaurant. Be sure to set aside some time to enjoy your stay.
775 Feet, 52 Seconds to the Top
The Skylon Tower features three signature Yellow Bug elevators that was the first of its kind when construction began of the Skylon Tower. They were designed and engineered with our guests in mind. The Yellow Bug Elevator has a glass-enclosed exterior so you can view your ascent up the Skylon. Make sure you don’t blink during the ascent up as the Yellow Bug elevators take our guests straight to the top in less than a minute. Once the ride to the top is over, it’s time to experience the Falls in a way you were meant to experience it.

This unique attraction is a very popular stop on the Niagara Parkway and is photographed almost as often as the Falls! The planted face is maintained by Niagara Parks horticulture staff, while the mechanism is kept in working order by Ontario Hydro, the organization that originally built the clock. The intricate designs on the face of the timepiece are created with up to 16, 000 carpet bedding plants. The floral design is changed twice each year, featuring viola in the Spring and four cultivars of Alternanthera along with green and grey forms of Santolina Sage during the Summer and Fall. California Golden Privet and Blue Festuca Grass may be used for contrast. The grounds surrounding the clock feature bedding displays and a tower at the back of the clock houses Westminster chimes that greet each quarter hour. If the door into the tower is open, you can take a glimpse at the clock mechanism and enjoy photographs that show the history of almost every face design all the way back to 1950.

We had lots of fun with our driver Feroz. Only our family and other family were on nice Mercedes Luxury Van for the entire tour. Treated us like a King.

The tour we originally booked for 07 Sep 2019 had some surprising changes. The tour we booked (an evening tour starting with we being picked up from our hotel) was cancelled without advance notice. We found out about the cancellation when we called about confusing email sent us - it was a reminder about our tour, but it did not clearly explain when and where we were to be picked up. During the call, that's when we were advised that our original tour was cancelled and we were placed onto a day tour out of Toronto, and we had to drive 20 minutes from our hotel near the falls to the pickup point. It turned out to be a convenient alternative for the tour operator in order to preserve the booking sale. We stuck with it since this was our first trip to the falls. But the booking side of this experience gets an "F" for ineffective communication. For the tour experience itself, I give it a "B". Primarily because of the operator not providing "clear" itinerary information and timeline of what tour stops were planned. Our group traveled in a small tour bus, it was comfortable, the group size filled the bus to approx 2/3 full. Fabio, the tour group leader/driver was very good. He was very enthusiastic and spirited. The downside was his thick foreign dialect. We had difficulty understanding him, especially when talking fast. This alternative booking had us joining an all day tour at 2:30 PM. We did wine tasting at a Canadian winery, driving tour of the countryside running along the Niagara River (various sightseeing pitstops), did walking tour behind the Horseshoe falls (you get wet! by design), did boat cruise into the mist of the American and Horseshoe falls (you get wet! by design), and closed with a dinner near the Sheraton. Per our request, Fabio took us back to our car (on road to Toronto) vice us waiting for fireworks to complete at 10PM. The group tour did enable Fabio to give us head of the line privileges - nice perk! We enjoyed the group tour and all the stops. We did not appreciate how our booking was handled nor the lack of itinerary detail. This was an excellent tour and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our tour guide, Fabio was fantastic. We were picked up on time at our hotel and dropped off at the same. Fabio gave personal attention to all on the tour. He was very knowledgeable and informative. This was an excellent tour and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our tour guide, Fabio was fantastic. We were picked up on time at our hotel and dropped off at the same. Fabio gave personal attention to all on the tour. He was very knowledgeable and informative. The tour is structured so you can participate in as much or as little as you want. Although this is called a half-day tour, ours ran a little longer, which was OK with us. Just be prepared.Tom was our guide and did a wonderful job. His knowledge of the area was very enjoyable. We would recommend this tour to anyone.

Tom gave us an awesome tour of the falls and the city. He shared lots of stories about the history and people involved in the locations we saw. We never had to wait in a line. We got far more done than we could have even seen and done if we had done it on our own. We have been on the road visiting the northeastern USA and Canada and our tour with Tom was the best single day of our trip.I would rate this experience poor. It’s not worth the price. Buy a ticket to cruise and drive around instead.
