What to expect
CHECK-IN at Kalama Beach Park at our Surf Club Maui van, we will outfit you with reef shoes and a rash guard surf shirt. We start with a short land lesson to go over the safety and technique. Then our experienced coaches get into the water with you and help you catch waves. The water is warm, and the waves are usually gentle and the water is about waist to chest deep.
PLEASE BE PREPARED: Please arrive well rested, and be sure to hydrate and Drink plenty of water before your session.
THIS GROUP SURF CLASS IS FOR MIXED AGES 11 AND UP. If you have younger kids you must book a Private lesson, or a Semi-private family class. If you arrive with a child under 11 years old the lesson will be canceled and no refunds will be given. Thank you for your understanding.
*NOTE: Surf students must be able to swim in the ocean, if you show up for the class and can not swim or are not comfortable in deep water, the lesson will be canceled and no-refunds will be given.
**WAIVER: We will send you a link to the Online Waiver form, please sign this before your lesson.
***Please bring some cash for a Gratuity (tip) for your instructor.

I had a great time learning how to surf. I’m 68 years old and wasn’t sure if I would be able to do get up on the board. However, with the excellent instruction I got from Turtle I was able to stand up on the board and surf into the beach. Lots of fun.

Wow! Couldn't be happier with the whole experience. First time surfing for my wife and son, and both had a perfect morning with this team. The instructor was patient but firm with my boy, exactly what he needed to get over his frustration and learn to surf. Spent last night glued to the TV watching surfing shows. I think he's hooked!
