Just an amazing experience. Epes was a great instructor. Definitely was patient with me, my wife picked it up pretty quickly. Leilani took some amazing pictures of us. Wish I remembered her dad’s name, he was cheering us on from the shore every time we caught a wave. Definitely a must in Maui.

Learning to surf with my friends was amazing and so easy with Sarge. He made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water and got everyone up and surfing in no time! The crew was amazing!! As someone who CANT swim, Sarg was a great instructor! I wasn’t afraid or nervous the whole time. Kainoa took AMAZING photos and videos.

my friends and i stumbled upon surf club maui last minute and ended up having the most memorable time. Our instructor Sarg was patient, kind and funny. he was able to get all of us up surfing and gave us pointers for the future. he made the experience even better. We loved it so much that we booked a last minute session right before our flight home. Johnny and Kai, their photographers took amazing photos and videos that we will treasure for a lifetime. highly recommend!

Sarge was a great surf instructor! He was knowledgeable and offer a ton of tips and advice. Would recommend this to any beginner surfer trying to learn the ropes!

This was a highlight of our trip! Pablo and Nico were great instructors. It was the first time surfing for myself and my teens. The waves were small so it was a good place to learn. We also were surfing with sea turtles so that was fun too. They have a photographer out with you if you want to buy pictures from your day.

Scheduled a morning class for a family of 4 - M-48, F-48, M-18, M-16. Walter was an amazing teacher who truly loved teaching. He was able to get ALL of us up on boards and riding the waves. Our teenage sons caught on quickly with Walter’s guidance and they rank their surfing experience as #1 on their list of best experiences in Maui. They know where and when to be to make sure the experience is perfect. Another great thing about Surf Club Maui is on-site professional photographers. Kai (who has a magical ability to make even the most inexperienced moms look cool) was in the water snapping away, cheering us on, and capturing incredible memories that we couldn’t do ourselves. For a reasonable fee, we were able to purchase over 100 photographs of our 2-hour experience. The entire staff was patient and kind and were a hard-working, organized team. 5 stars, two thumbs up and SHAKA! 🤙

I’ve always wanted to learn how to surf and Surf Club Maui was a perfect place to learn. I had a great instructor Epp, and he really helped me learn how to fix my mistakes and get to my full potential. Within two lessons I was able to rent a board myself and surf on my own. The photographer Kai took some amazing photos from in the water that were really cool to see afterwards. You could really tell everyone here knew what they were doing and have been surfing/taking photos for a long time. Epp’s great coaching even allowed my mom and dad to learn how to surf which is cool. Overall 11 out of 10 experience and would recommend anyone coming to Maui old or young. Great time and fun for everyone.

This excursion was my idea and my young adult and teenage children were skeptical. After their lesson, they said it was a 10/10 experience which is high praise! Sarge was SO knowledgeable and personable! All members of my group were able to get up and ride the waves with ease. They looked like pros by the end of the lesson!! I would highly recommend this adventure!

We had an amazing time with Sarg. Never surfed before and we were doing it within minutes. They know the perfect places to surf and the best waves for beginners. Hands down our favorite part of the trip so far.

Sarge is a great teacher and very encouraging. He really enjoys what he does and it shows. We really enjoyed ourselves. Kai got some great pics of us that made it look like we knew what we were doing. LOL I highly recommend them

We had the best time!! Family of 4 - kids 14 and 16 and we all got up on the first try and we were totally surfing! Brian was an amazing instructor and he made the session really fun. There have photographers on staff that are in the water who take these amazing pics for purchase and the other highlight was the turtles. Nothing is cooler or more Hawaiian than surfing beside turtles! Highly recommend it!!!

The surfing experience was so fun. Our instructor David did an amazing job providing surfing instructions and took care of the group from beginning to end. We even got to see turtles! The photographer Kai was great too!

Pablo was a great instructor and we had an amazing time, the water and waves were perfect. Excited to go back on our own!

Experienced coaches, pay attention to the learners, encourage, and make it fun for the kids. Great picture taken for lasting memories. My boys want to repeat the experience.
