Such a good time and guide, I have to repeat this fall trip every year. Mike was patience, yet always teaching us. I can't wait till next year.

We had a fantastic time fishing the Upper Kenai River. Our guide worked very hard to keep us in the fish and to put us where we wanted to be to catch fish. He gave us good instructions on how to cast and use the open face reels, that hate me. I actually broke my empty handed streak and caught some very nice fish as did my husband who is an accomplished fisherman. We saw some beautiful scenery that one would never see any other way. It was well worth it. If you can make the time, take this fishing trip.

My husband and I had a great day fishing on the upper Kenai with Mike. We had already been one day earlier in the week with a different group and wanted to go back. Luckily Mike had availability on short notice. He took us to a different part of the river so we could see some different scenery and also catered to the type of fishing we wanted to do (fly fishing for silver salmon, trout, and dolly). We got lucky and both caught silvers. Mike was great about stopping to take pictures for us when we had a picture-worthy fish, he had hot chocolate when I was really cold from wading, and overall he was super knowledgeable. I am newer to fly fishing but I felt comfortable with Mike. He kindly taught me some new mending techniques and casting styles. At the end of the day we had to traverse Kenai Lake and as a highlight got to see four black bears along the bank! It was so cool. Mike took us over to them. The whole day never felt rushed at all. If we ever get to come back we’ll definitely book with Mike again.Mike is a class act and excellent guide! Me and two buddies had a great time fly fishing the Kenai and will be back! Highly highly recommend.

Mike was awesome. I had fished the Kenai before and always regretted not going out with a guide. This time I wasn’t going to make the same mistake and I went on a full day trip with my wife and 10 year old daughter. Before the trip, my wife kept commenting on how nice Mike was and his pre fishing communications were great. My daughter was a little nervous at first but after her first sockeye she was hooked. Mike was amazing with her and seeing her have a good time was worth the trip. Mike is easy going and a pleasure to spend the day on the water with. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the animals. We throughly enjoyed fishing with mike and I couldn’t recommend him enough. If you have young kids I don’t know if you could find a better guide to go with. He is so mellow and easy going. Also we practiced all catch and release and mike did a great job with handling the fish as little as possible. Overall it was an amazing day on the water. My daughter is still giving me a hard time about catching more dolly varden than me.Mike Adams is the man!! Super personable, great teacher. Mike Adams is the man!! Super personable, great teacher. I've seen him work with beginners as well as experienced anglers like myself. In my experience, I have yet to work with a better guide. Not only is he full of knowledge about both fishing and Alaska in general, but he just an awesome dude to hang out with for the day. As far as results ... I've caught my limit with him every single time. King's, reds, silvers. And even a few trout. I book him year after year. If you're fishing Kenai, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to book a trip with Mike Adams.
