Pass By: Resurrection Bay, Seward, AK
This adventure cruise is the only small-vessel cruise that explores the remote, glacier-carved Northwestern Fjord in Kenai Fjords National Park. Ideal for photographers, birders, and whale-watching enthusiasts, this 8.5 hour cruise departs from the Seward Harbor 360 Hotel dock 8:30 a.m. and returns at 5:00 p.m. The cruise will travel through Resurrection Bay, Kenai Fjords National Park, the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Resurrection, Granite Pass, Harris Bay, and into the spectacular Northwestern Fjord. Due to the vessel size and the cruise length, children under 12 are not suitable on this cruise.
Pass By: Kenai Fjords National Park, Seward Highway, Seward, AK
Narrated by our knowledgeable, experienced captain and crew, guests have the unique opportunity to explore remote, untouched areas of Kenai Fjords National Park with a small group. Depending on sea conditions and wildlife-viewing opportunities, the captain’s route to Northwestern Fjord can vary from day to day. After cruising through Resurrection Bay, you will explore the Chiswell Islands (part of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge) or Cape Resurrection, home to thousands of nesting seabirds, Steller sea lions, and other wildlife.
The cruise will then enter Harris Bay, where you will be greeted with views of beautiful hidden coves, rugged mountains, and possibly feeding whales. Once we enter the virtually untouched and untamed Northwestern Fjord, look for the numerous alpine glaciers nestled high on the cliffs. You will visit Northwestern, Anchor, and Ojive Glaciers at the end of Northwestern Fjord. You will spend time in front of the glacier to watch for glacial calving.
Pass By: Bear Glacier, Seward, AK
Cruise through Resurrection Bay, the Gulf Of Alaska, and Harris Bay in search of wildlife such as humpbacks, killer whales, sea lions, harbor seals, seabirds, and more.

Had a fabulous adventure with Captain Tanner and first-mate Andrew. We saw sea otters, a mountain goat, seals and sea lions, orcas, porpoise and most exciting of all, a group of nine humpbacks working together to make bubble nets to surround fish and force them into a dense school so the humpbacks could come up all at once and feed on them. We were able to view this several times. We had close looks at several glaciers and heard and saw them calving. The crew worked tirelessly to ensure all of us got good looks at the wildlife and seabirds, while keeping us safe and the animals comfortable with us humans. The all day Northwestern Fjord cruise is amazing! The all day Northwestern Fjord cruise is amazing! Captain Kaylee and 1st Mate Tammy were the best. They provided so much information on the wildlife and the landscape. What I liked the most was the care they took with the wildlife in addition to those on board. We saw two humpback whales and each time Captain Kaylee noted that we had to keep moving as we were at our time limit for this animal. They were respectful of the marine life and that is a sign of a good tour operator. Tammy also took great care of those who weren't feeling so hot during the crossing of the Alaska Bay. And I cannot put into words what it was like when we reached Northwestern Glacier. It's something you have to see for yourself to understand. We also saw puffins, sea otters, harbor seals and Stellar sea lions. The lunch served was delicious and filling. I cannot recommend this company or this cruise enough. We weren't sure what to expect with this, 8.5 hours, some of which out in the open Gulf of Alaska (I've seen deadliest catch) but the weather gods where kind and it was calm seas with even better views. We weren't sure what to expect with this, 8.5 hours, some of which out in the open Gulf of Alaska (I've seen deadliest catch) but the weather gods where kind and it was calm seas with even better views. Lucky to have seen a pod of Orcas, a couple of humpback whales breaching, otters, puffins, eagles, and of course the Northwestern glacier calving. An unforgettable experience. Plenty of drinks on board (tea, coffee, soda, with alcohol for purchase if you are so inclined). The included lunch (sandwich, brownie, chips) was sufficient (this isn't a dinner cruise) but we brought snacks which helped keep us full. Can't recommend this tour more highly. The crew was phenomenal. Excellent narration, you could really tell that they cared. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. It really makes a big difference.Fantastic experience for the entire family . crew captain gary and first mate tammy were wonderful.
