Een heel gezellige homestay die gerund wordt door Susan, haar broertje Nick en een nichtje. Wij voelden ons hier direct thuis. Alles was prima geregeld. De vader had bij onze aankomst direct een authentiek Vietnamees gerecht gekookt, wat bestond uit een heerlijke soep, gekookte rijst, groentegerecht en mals vleesgerecht. Nick, haar broertje, zorgde voor een onvergetelijke fietstocht door de rijstvelden in de omgeving en bezochten ook een plaatselijke eendenfokkerij en cacaoplantage.Superbe expérience avec Susan. Journée complète, visite du marché flottant et du tour en vélo l’après-midi. Je ne vais pas reexpliquer le détail des activités, mais ça vaut le détour. Superbe expérience avec Susan. Journée complète, visite du marché flottant et du tour en vélo l’après-midi. Je ne vais pas reexpliquer le détail des activités, mais ça vaut le détour. Susan est cool, explique bien (en anglais par contre, mais facilement compréhensible même pour les niveaux moyens). Le matin, départ 5h30 tapante sur une petite barque (j’étais seul avec Susan et la dame qui pilotait) et c’est clairement mieux que les gros bateaux pleins de touristes. On a cette impression de participer au marché, d’autant plus qu’on prend le petit dej sur la barque. Ensuite un tour dans la mangrove et visite de la ferme à cacao. Un peu déçu de la mangrove, y a rien de spécial mais bon sympa à voir. L’après-midi direction le homestay de Susan…derrière elle sur son scooter (la chance d’être seul). L’après-midi, vélo dans la campagne, culture du riz, fruits, quelques courses dans un marché typique, et le soir cuisine qu’on déguste. Ça été une très belle journée, je vais en garder de belles images. Les activités proposées sont faites en petit groupe. Les repas préparés par la famille de Susan étaient vraiment bon. The highlights for me were the cooking class, where she took us step by step through preparing a full meal, and of course the floating market. We had a great time staying at Susan's homestay, cycling around the village, Pagoda and buying ingredients for dinner at the market. Wonderful dinner, us and the kids enjoyed preparing it. The next day we took the boat tour with Lyn, who was amazing! She is fluent in english and shared very interesting information. We visited the floating market, coconut candy factory, dragon fruit garden and cacao farm. Highly recommended !!!!
