I attended this tour with a group of friends today with our wonderful guide Annie! Annie was very knowledgeable and friendly- she shared interesting information about the history of Shanghai and Zhujiajiao on the van ride over. Pickup at our hotel was prompt! At the water town, we were able to stop into whatever shops interested us, and Annie helped us find shops that were reputable. She also gave us an excellent tour of an old garden home while we were there, and stopped to take plenty of pictures! Overall, I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an easy day trip from Shanghai. We went there with Rita. Such a beautiful old town. We rode a boat and enjoy delicious local food. The water town itself is whort visiting. We had an enjoyable day.

We greatly enjoyed this tour, especially the visit to the beautiful garden and the boat ride on the canal. We were captivated by the silk embroidery artist at the garden and each of us ended up buying one of her pieces of artwork! Our guide, Martin, was lovely and very accommodating to our needs. Before he dropped us off at the hotel, we did a walk through the M50 area to look at contemporary artwork (as we requested) and that added another happy experience to our time in Shanghai. Sunny’s tours is extremely helpful and was able to arrange this tour with only a day’s notice. This was our second tour with her company and both were very enjoyable and informative. She was very good in communicating the arrangements (which involved changes on our end) and that was important to us. Both vehicles were very comfortable and the drivers were also great. The tour to Zhujiajiao Water town is very recommendable if you have only half a day to see a water village. The tour to Zhujiajiao Water town is very recommendable if you have only half a day to see a water village. Zhujiajiao is located on the border of Shanghai and has been beautifully restored some years ago, with many small shops to linger in and marvel at. The visited "garden" was very beautiful too, nicely arranged and witness how wealthy Chinese lived in former times. Our guide Lynn was excellent: a very warm-hearted, open person with a big knowledge. She managed to explain the essential milestones of Chinese history in a few minutes. She was also a great talking companion about life in China today and in the past, so the whole return trip was very entertaining and informative.Annie provided a very informed and interesting tour of Zhujiajiao with lots of facts and general history of China and Chinese culture, both old and new. Annie provided a very informed and interesting tour of Zhujiajiao with lots of facts and general history of China and Chinese culture, both old and new. She is very knowledgable and provides wide context to the things you see. The town itself is narrow streets and vendors with much traditional food on offer. Delicious. The 10 minute boat ride gives beautiful views of the buildings and the Kezhi gardens are also very peaceful. Transfer from Shanghai is easy by car and included in the price. Well worth the visit.
