- We cannot predict when La Sagrada Familia will be crowded. In general, long lines are common at major attractions in summer, on most weekends, and during peak travel periods throughout the year (Christmas, Easter, local holidays). The skip-the-line ticket enables you to skip the line if indeed there is one. Unfortunately there is no way to foresee the days and times that produce lines

Our guide was extremely informative about Sagrada Familia We enjoyed our visit The tour through the building was amazingGuide did a good job, but even though we selected and paid for an English-speaking tour we found ourselves in a mixed Spanish-English group. So we got half a tour. We should have spoken up immediately and gotten ourselves moved to an English-only group.

Sagrada Familia is breathtaking and our guide was good. We still had to queue at the group entry and there were far too many people in the church for it to be a pleasant experience. This was likely due to an early closure for an event and squeezing a day of people into a shorter opening period. The church is a must see in Barcelona and is highly recommended to be pre-booked with a group, but if crowds are not your thing think again! The tour was great because of the destination. The guide not so much. I booked the English speaking tour and he spoke in Spanish the majority of the time. He didn’t have time to answer questions because he had another tour.
