It's a very special place for basque people. Little island connected to land through a stone bridge and with an outstanding view.
After going down the cliff by a path, we must climb 241 step in order to get to San Juan ermitage. The views are impossible to forget.

The most important seafaring town in Biscay, full of life and interesting history. A walk through the old town will take us to the port.

Small town where we'll enjoy beautiful views of Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Very famous among surfers around the world thanks to his perfect left wave.

A very important town for the basque people. Here we'll visit the "Board House" where it's located the famous Gernika tree. Here we'll find out about the history and traditions of the Basque Country. We can see the "Gernika" reproduction, the famous Piccasso's picture.

Only giving this five stars because I cannot give it six stars. An amazing day with Jose Luis and his daughter. We traveled to four locations and got an inside perspective that only someone from the Basque region could give. I'm sure we saw many sites that the average tourist has never seen. He was flexible and allowed us to somewhat set the itinerary of what we saw at the four stops. He took plenty of pictures using his own phone/camera and sent them to us, along with an amazing video he put together of the stops and pictures, without an additional fee. He loves what he's doing and it really shows in the tour he gives. I cannot recommend Jose Luis and his tours highly enough.Fantastic views of the north coast of Spain. Bizkaia is absolutely beautiful and Jose Luis gave us a great tour and provided excellent context, history and information.

However, the guide and his sweet daughter made excellent conversations throughout the day and helped me understand and appreciate the Basque culture and landscape.

We had such a great day with Jose and his daughter Itsaso. They are very knowledge about beautiful places to go and the history of the Basque countryside. They both speak very good English and had a great sense of humor. We truly enjoyed our day. Jose took a lot of pictures of us at different sites and sent them to us later that evening. By the end of the day, we felt like they were family to us.What an enjoyable day with Jose and his daughter! He drove us through the best parts of Biscay and was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture. Very warm and caring about his guests. Would definitely do it again myself and recommend to others.
