What to expect
After we meet you, we give you a wetsuit and all the equipment and we show you how to use it. You need to bring spare footwear to wear in the kayak eg old runners or water shoes.
You need to be able to swim to do this kayak tour. You don't need to be a champion swimmer but you need to be happy floating in the water wearing a buoyancy aid in the event of a capsize.
Next, we get on the water in historic Bullock Harbour and go kayaking along the stunning Dalkey coastline, even to Dalkey Island when the weather allows.
You will be treated to stunning views of Dublin Bay which is a UNESCO biosphere.
Then we will encounter the friendly Dalkey seals. They will play around our kayaks as we paddle past them. We will also see the wonderful birdlife.

What an incredible trip!! We saw so many seals - pups, teenagers and adults! Alongside lovely sea birds. Clara, John and Craig were fantastic. Their confidence and skill on the water was inspiring and really put me at ease. We had 3 hours out at sea, with views for miles in all directions - Clara and the team shared really interesting facts about the area, wildlife and kayaking at sea. We met in Bullock Harbour and kayaked out to Dalkey Island. Make sure to wear a swimming costume underneath your clothes and shoes you can get wet! Wetsuits are provided that you wear over your swim clothes. It meant as tourists from the UK we didn't need to bring kit, making this a very accessible trip when abroad! We got changed Harbour side, however there were some portaloos nearby. We could not recommend this experience enough, it's really good value for money and something special to do! Appropriate for people of all ages and skill. Thanks again to Clara, John and Craig!!Great day out, great instructor we had in mark would highly recommend!! Very bumpy against the wind but adds to the experience!!
