Douro Valley 3 Wine Experiences with Traditional Lunch and Optional Boat Cruise
Overview
The Douro Valley, World heritage and one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world, has unique landscapes and delicious treats ready to amaze you.
This region is home of the famous Douro Wine, specifically the Port wine.
As soon as we arrive we will sample the amazing treats that the valley has to offer: almonds, its traditional bread and its delicious honey, all paired with Douro´s red, white and rosé wines.
Then, we will head to the Pinhão train station, where you can see the history of Douro's wine industry in typical blue&white portuguese tiles. You can also go for an optional boat ride.
After, we will visit a family-owned winery with access to an exclusive lunch menu with all included and paired with White, Red and Port Wines. After lunch you will have a Port Wine tasting in which you will sample several different years.
Before arriving in Porto, we will visit Amarante, for a final tasting of its treats.

We enjoyed a terrific tour of the beautiful Douro Valley with our guide Francisco. Each stop featured wine, food and fantastic views. We were happy with the wide variety of wines and that it was not all port (in fact the only port was at the end). Francisco is friendly and knowledgeable. His English is excellent and he led our small group on an enjoyable tour. We typically prefer to explore on our own instead of taking tours like this, but this one still felt authentic and was very nicely paced. All in all a wonderful tour. Highly recommended!marie2021aus
