Salzburg City Option - UNESCO, World Heritage Site since 1996, located on the northwest side of Austria, 424 meters (1391 ft) above sea level and with a population of approximately 150.000 people, Salzburg is today the 4th biggest city in the country. In this tour, you will have the possibility of exploring the old town. Your private guide will point out to you the points of interest to make sure you don’t miss any gems.

Sound of Music Option - Explore Salzburg and Lake District by following the tracks of the world famous musical “The Sound of Music”. A professional guide will take you on this private excursion.

Eagles Nest & Bavarian Alps Option - You tour guide will join you on your journey up to the Eagle’s Nest. You will board specially build Busses to drive up the Eagle’s Nest Road, voted one of the most beautiful mountain roads of Europe. This 20 minute bus ride takes us to the bus parking which is located 124 meters below the Eagle’s Nest. We then walk 124 meters in to a tunnel that gives access to the historical elevator. This will take us in to the house itself where your guide will explain how everything was furnished and used during the Third Reich. After this detailed exclusive information, you will have time to explore more of the location. You can walk up to the top of the mountain for pictures and maybe have a refreshment on the sun terrace. There you will enjoy 360 degrees of breathtaking Eagle eye views over the Bavarian alps.

Micheal picked us up at our boat in Passau and drove us 2 hours into Salzburg. Along the way, he provided us with interesting information. It was a beautiful, snowy day, so he took us to a couple of fairy tail spots to view. Afterwards, we went into Salzburg and we opted to shop at the Christ...

Michael couldn't have been any better. Very knowledgeable and personable. Went out of his way to ensure our visit was a success. The weather was terrible (snow, rain, and fog) but Michael handled the driving and commentary very well.

Michael was a wonderful guide for our day trip. He picked us up promptly (even a little early) right from the ship in Passau. He is full of knowledge about the country as well as the Salzburg area. The advantage of of private tour is stopping at hidden treasures along the way. Michael stopped off a small local church on a beautiful lake. What a special place!!! He took a mountain approach to introduce us to Salzburg. Can't thank him enough for taking such good care of us. We totally enjoyed the overview of Salzburg, the mountains, the lovely lunch and the sites of the Sound of Music. Looking forward to returning some day.
