We were 4 couples traveling on a Viking cruise. We opted to book our own excursion to Salzburg and were thrilled that we did. Michael was the perfect guide. A few of us were long-time Sound of Music fans. He took us to several sites where parts of the movie were filmed. My personal favorite was seeing the landscape where the opening scene was shot. It was as breathtaking in person as on the big screen. To wander the streets where Mozart was raised, learn some of the history of Salzburg along with the back stories of the shooting of the Sound of Music was a day beyond my dreams. To top it off, Michael knew just where to take us to meet up with our river boat. We really couldn't have asked for more.

Carlos was absolutely fantastic. We have very high standards, and he crushed it for all 6 of us. I would not hesitate selecting Carlos for your Sound of Music tour. He could not have been better, and unlike so many is a tremendous communicator. Book with this guy! Trust me.

Sound of music experiences, and a knowledgeable, entertaining guide. Michael is the best. Michael picked us ip at ship right on time and entertained us on the long drive to Salzburg.

Micheal picked us up at our boat in Passau and drove us 2 hours into Salzburg. Along the way, he provided us with interesting information. It was a beautiful, snowy day, so he took us to a couple of fairy tail spots to view. Afterwards, we went into Salzburg and we opted to shop at the Christmas Market over a tour! It just wasn't enough time. He promptly got us back to the boat on time, taking a different route with more magnificent views.

Michael couldn't have been any better. Very knowledgeable and personable. Went out of his way to ensure our visit was a success. The weather was terrible (snow, rain, and fog) but Michael handled the driving and commentary very well.

Michael was a wonderful guide for our day trip. He picked us up promptly (even a little early) right from the ship in Passau. He is full of knowledge about the country as well as the Salzburg area. The advantage of of private tour is stopping at hidden treasures along the way. Michael stopped off a small local church on a beautiful lake. What a special place!!! He took a mountain approach to introduce us to Salzburg. Can't thank him enough for taking such good care of us. We totally enjoyed the overview of Salzburg, the mountains, the lovely lunch and the sites of the Sound of Music. Looking forward to returning some day.
