Como City & Bellagio Exclusive Full-Day Tour (1h from Milan, start at 10:30 am)
Overview
This full-day starts with the 2h walking tour in Como city. We will visit the top attractions of Como like the Cathedral, the San Fedele Church, the medieval city walls and towers. This will give you knowledge about the city's development and its importance for the area. After a short break for lunch, we will take a speedboat to Bellagio (the duration of this trip is 50 minutes), one of the most beautiful and suggestive borgo in Italy. There, you will have a pleasant walking tour, enjoy the famous small streets and views, as well as a break for shopping or an ice-cream (gelato). We return with the normal ferry boat (this trip takes 2h), to have a possibility to show you the most beautiful villas on the lake during the trip.
We finish the experience in Como city at 6 p.m.

After many trips to Italy, my Sister and I visited the Lake District for the first time in early September. We stayed in Como for convenience and options (which was the right choice) and after a lot of research discovered Violetta’s “Como city & Bellagio private full-day tour” on Viator (an EXCELLENT choice). We spent a full day with Violetta and it was wonderful. Here are the reasons that you should choose Violetta as your tour guide when in the Lake Como region: 1) Violetta is an expert tour guide (she has a Master’s degree in International Tourism & speaks multiple languages) who is very knowledgable and understands that each traveler is unique. These skills enable her to create an individualized, wonderful tour experience for her clients. 2) Spending a full day with clients can be exhausting however Violetta’s energy remains high throughout and because she interacts well with people, can tell when to take a break (or not). The entire day flowed beautifully: beginning with a walking tour in Como then boating to Bellagio for a second walking tour plus lunch (we suggest dining with Violetta so that you have even MORE time to glean information from her) and then taking the Corse Battello (slow service) back to Como during which Violetta educated us on the gorgeousness that we were seeing from a comfortable seat on deck (being “outdoors” is a must on the slow boat). Honestly, even the most savvy traveler needs an expert to point out which town is which and what architecture one is viewing! 3) Violetta is an excellent communicator (in English, German & Italian) who makes it easy to interact with her and to obtain information before, during and after the tour. You will undoubtedly learn things that you would not from a guide book (or group tour) which is gold! 4) Violetta has a lovely disposition, is friendly, funny and interesting PLUS she goes beyond the call of duty by making herself available to help with tips and guidance (no question is too small or silly). I should add that Violetta’s knowledge goes beyond the Lake District in Italy so it is worth contacting her to see if she can be your guide in Tuscany as well. Also consider booking directly with Violetta since other platforms will take a fee out of the overall payment to the tour operator. My sister and I are pandemic compliant New Yorkers and seasoned travelers with high standards.
