Lake Como is truly an amazing place, but having an excellent tour guide made everything over the top! Violetta was special and truly made the experience wonderful, due to bookings, we made a last-minute adjustment to do the Bellagio and Villa Balbianello tour at her recommendation and was not disappointed! I highly recommend! Doing this in a small group helps to maximize the tour! So many incredible sights! I wouod definitely so this again on return to Como!

What a great day! Lake Como was just the first stop of our two-week adventure in Italy. We had a lot to see in one day. Violetta made it all possible! She was amazing! We did a walking tour of Como City. We explored Bellagio and had lunch. We ended our day on a cruise around the beautiful Lake Como. We would not have been able to do this on our own. We highly recommend Violetta.

Our travel experience with Violetta was incredible! She is very personable and knowledgeable about the area in and around Como. We are and older, slower group and she accommodated us accordingly. We would highly recommend using her for any of your touring needs while in Como or Milan.

What a lovely and fun day we had with Violetta! We travelled to Lake Como early october. Violetta showed us the city of Como and took us to beautiful places like Bellagio. Violetta is a genuinely nice and fun person! She has a lot of knowledge about the Como Lake area and kindly shares this knowledge. The started very rainy and we weren't sure of we wanted to continue the tour, but I'm glad we did! She showed us zo many beautiful places en we had such a nice day that we didn't even mind the rain anymore. Next time we will visit Como, we will definitaly contact Violetta again!

After many trips to Italy, my Sister and I visited the Lake District for the first time in early September. We stayed in Como for convenience and options (which was the right choice) and after a lot of research discovered Violetta’s “Como city & Bellagio private full-day tour” on Viator (an EXCELLENT choice). We spent a full day with Violetta and it was wonderful. Here are the reasons that you should choose Violetta as your tour guide when in the Lake Como region: 

 1) Violetta is an expert tour guide (she has a Master’s degree in International Tourism & speaks multiple languages) who is very knowledgable and understands that each traveler is unique. These skills enable her to create an individualized, wonderful tour experience for her clients. 

 2) Spending a full day with clients can be exhausting however Violetta’s energy remains high throughout and because she interacts well with people, can tell when to take a break (or not). The entire day flowed beautifully: beginning with a walking tour in Como then boating to Bellagio for a second walking tour plus lunch (we suggest dining with Violetta so that you have even MORE time to glean information from her) and then taking the Corse Battello (slow service) back to Como during which Violetta educated us on the gorgeousness that we were seeing from a comfortable seat on deck (being “outdoors” is a must on the slow boat). Honestly, even the most savvy traveler needs an expert to point out which town is which and what architecture one is viewing!

 3) Violetta is an excellent communicator (in English, German & Italian) who makes it easy to interact with her and to obtain information before, during and after the tour. You will undoubtedly learn things that you would not from a guide book (or group tour) which is gold!

 4) Violetta has a lovely disposition, is friendly, funny and interesting PLUS she goes beyond the call of duty by making herself available to help with tips and guidance (no question is too small or silly). I should add that Violetta’s knowledge goes beyond the Lake District in Italy so it is worth contacting her to see if she can be your guide in Tuscany as well. Also consider booking directly with Violetta since other platforms will take a fee out of the overall payment to the tour operator. My sister and I are pandemic compliant New Yorkers and seasoned travelers with high standards. Violetta is top notch and to say that we are fortunate to have found her tour is an understatement!

Fantastic Tour Guide! My Daughter and I traveled to Lake Como in late February. We were so fortunate to find this tour with Violetta. There is not much to do in Como off season but with Violetta we were able to experience the culture, history and beauty of Lake Como. She is a wonderful Guide; so pleasant and well informed about art, history, architecture and so much more! I wishe we could take her to Florence and Rome with us! Very highly recommend! We had a wonderful day with Violetta. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in providing a nice overview of the area and specific historical and fun facts. The sites were beautiful. We stopped for a nice lunch in Bellagio overlooking the lake. She exceeded our expectations. Well worth the cost of the trip.

Violetta was a great communicator and met my husband and I at the ferry in Como. We did a walking tour of Como and then caught the fast ferry (not included) to Bellagio and did a walking tour there. We had lunch at a restaurant in Bellagio (not included). If you are a planner, you could actually do this tour on your own. We enjoyed the luxury of having the history explained and the details of the boat schedules handled by Violetta. We enjoyed her company and had a great time.

My wife and I found this tour and Violetta as our guide, an amazing experience. Violeta was very knowledgable, patient, and engaging. She is local and knew the history and unique features of the area and specific towns on the lake. She had a good sense of humor and we learned to appreciate the Lake Como area even more. She went above and beyond by providing restaurant recommendations, best vintage points for pictures, familiarity with local people as well as as much or little information as we needed. We would definitely recommend this tour and go on an additional tour with her.

My husband and I found Violetta on Viator a day before we were scheduled to arrive in Como. We were not sure what was in store for us but after spending an entire day with Violetta, we cannot recommend this tour enough. She is an amazing person with a wealth of knowledge about this area but makes it a point to not dump everything on you. She makes a note of your interests and steers the conversations in the direction that you are interested in. She walked us around Como and even sewed up my dress when it got ripped at the shoulder. We had a great time on the boat to Bellagio and even a greater time exploring the small city and it's seven staircases. This tour is not your usual run off the mill offering, it is a very unique experience that creates a beautiful memory for you to cherish for the rest of your life. Highly recommend it!!!

Excellent day walking around Como and Bellagio with Violetta Geiger . Her knowledge of the area , churches and history was fantastic. But best of all was her lovely attitude and help with all our plans for the rest of our trip . She sorted out our many travel queries on the local boats and buses . Well worth booking !
