We have been coming here for the past five years excluding last year when we couldn't make it away, and always thoroughly enjoy it, and as a family activity it never gets old. The guys who run the Chocolate Factory are really friendly and helpful and do everything they can to make sure you get the most out of your visit, and are always looking for ways to build the experiences and do more. There factory has a chocolate shop and ice cream dispensary attached where they sell their own produce and a large range of chocolate products, along with a small indoor space to sit and more shaded tables outside to sit and enjoy them. At the back is the actual factory part where you have the chocolate making session. They offer you a range of chocolate types to work with an supply a huge number of varied ingredients and flavorings for you to use. In normal times there's also a sort of museum part where you can see some of the machinery they have used in the building of their business and learn about the history of chocolate a little. Unfortunately this time around this part wasn't open but I expect it'll be back. If you're planning to make a family, or group visit to Mijas I can't recommend doing this enough. We just email them a day or two in advance and book a slot and turn up and it's a highlight of our days visit. They'll even look after your chocolate for you while you go around Mijas so you can collect it when you leave, so it doesn't get warmed on a hot day. We tend to do the basic experience and come home with three good sized bars of chocolate each (I try to be good and ration myself mine a few squares a day), but some other more involved experiences are on offer. We'll probably give those a go when the kids are a little older! :)The most fun ever! We have done it many times before but this year we did the dragon, donkey, and butterflies and it was the best! The staff was amazing and the whole experience was worth the price.
