After stopping inside to see the beautiful interiors of several buildings in the Loop, starting with the Chicago Board of Trade, we end inside the Chicago Cultural Center.

Adam was out guide. He was cheerful, funny and welcoming to out-of-towners. This is a much-needed tour. While other architecture tours simply show you the outsides of buildings, this one takes you the lobbies / foyers of various offices, hotels, shopping plazas, libraries etc. to point out details of architectural styles. Chicago is home to the Art Deco style, which is reminiscent of the roaring 1920s. There are also other styles like neo-classical, brutalist and the native Frank Wright Llyod's Prairie House Style (we also stopped at his office where he worked and he renovated the building in his style). I would recommend to the tours for adding a stop for coffee/drinks and making it a package. That way, we can catch a break between the walking and have more to talk and discuss about. But overall, this is a hidden gem. A must-see for outsiders visiting Chicago, even if you have taken the famous architecture boat tour. This tour shows you the inside of the buildings.Leader had wide knowledge of the area and great enthusiasm. We were taken to inside a number of great buildings. Very good tour.
