We will spend some time in the main market of the city bustling with colours smells and amazing street food to enjoy. You will have time to do some shopping for traditional items after which we will sit down to taste some local produce and extremely tasty street food.

This is such a great tour. If you have the time and like to walk, you won’t find a better tour. Our guide, Vlad was perfect for us. He has a history degree and speaks wonderful English. He guided us through the food and history of Romania and Bucharest purchasing local foods and fresh vegetables ...
This is such a great tour. If you have the time and like to walk, you won’t find a better tour. Our guide, Vlad was perfect for us. He has a history degree and speaks wonderful English. He guided us through the food and history of Romania and Bucharest purchasing local foods and fresh vegetables at the markets for us to enjoy. We toured on Sunday which had a huge benefit of very little traffic on the streets. Vlad works only on the weekends so if you’re here on a weekend, ask for Vlad…we can’t imagine that a walking tour as this could be guided better.Vlad, our guide was really wonderful. We learned a lot about his country and its history. The Obor market and hanging out drinking beer and eating mici, the pork sausages, with Vlad was great

The food we sampled was delicious and the walk covered lots of areas of interest but without being tiring or arduous, the pace amd mix of content were just right. The small group format worked really well and everyone had plenty of chances to ask questions and chat - by the end of the day it felt like we’d made a group of new friends!
